Hubby wants me to make my multibean chili tomorrow so I need to go to the butcher to get my sausage. Merlin is hurting so no run for him. I am going to see if I can get him in to a chiropractor.

I have all but given up on my yard kid. Going to check the arrest records and warrants but he's been MIA (except for stopping by on Monday) to tell me he couldn't do my lawn and was sorry he missed last Wed-Sunday and then saying he would do it this Wednesday and NOW it's Thursday and still no show. I am tired of waiting for him. Today is the last day for him to appear. If he comes with an excuse or is a no show, I'm going to mow the lawn myself, risking life and limb.

Ana, I have heard really good things about acupuncture for animals, dogs and horses in particular. I feel so badly for your relatively young and healthy boy!! Dark, cool and gloomy here but there are leaves on the apple tree, all two of them but more ready to burst open so there is hope!!! Busy day here with friends stopping by later so off I go to vac the mountains of dog and cat hair that so magically appear this time of year. I wouldn't have it any other way. Happy Gaming everyone.

Oh Merlin, please get better. It must hurt him terribly -arthritis is no fun. Does he have symptoms of something systemic going on or maybe just old age? I wish you both well.

Guess wot!!! There are 3 little green tomatos on my plants -they are doing well and healthy and enjoying the outdoors even though they are still in pots. And will remain thus due to the grasshoppers that will emerge soon but they look good on the front porch.

Mr.A. Ritis is still camping out here but appears to be weakening a bit. I'm due for more neurological studies May 3 and perhaps we will get some insight on this. My mother's family -paternal side- has been plagued with this thing for generations and anything I learn about this I'll share with my children -forewarn them.

Lotus, Merlin is healthy and energetic, but not young. He is ten which is good for a Shepherd. He has bad arthritis in his hips and has a carpal/tarsal ligament tear in his front leg. No cures, but I am hoping to find something to maintain his discomfort so he can continue to do what his passion is. My dogs live to run.

Yankee, good to see you! I am glad to hear you are getting a bit better. Maybe the weather warming up will help.

Bets, spring is here today for the first time. My crocuses came up and the robins are camping out in my back yard.

Well, I got my first ten miles of the outdoor biking season under my belt.

I brushed the dogs today and put huge mounds of it on the deck and the birds took every last ball of fur.

Son and kids are back from the park. I'm gonna fry some chicken in just a bit. First, though, I've gotta sit for a bit.

Ana, I had no idea Merlin was that old. He looks so young and always so energized!! I hope you are able to help him maintain. Our Siberian will be ten in June....uggh!! She still acts like a young and crazy dog at times!!

Hi people. Some sad news to tell you. My BIL is not expected to live through the night. He's in the hospital with pneumonia and cancer and is on a breathing machine as he can't breath on his own. The doctors say that he probably won't live through the night. I'm so sad He's the brother I never had. Thank you for all your prayers.

Niteowl, he can't run at all right now, but they also won't go without the other. They are very close. Shadow won't leave my side if Merlin is not with. In Illinois a chiropractor can't work on animals including horses without a vet present since 2010. Most of ours went away but this place is a rehab vet that does a myriad of things.
