restaurant stakeout and mystery diner question

are those show real, it is shocking and the people act digusting, i watch them on food network.

Family, most of those shows don't have a script, but they are not real life. They tape many hours of actions and then edit it down to the worst behavior and I believe, encourage bad behavior by folks wanting to get on tv. Of course, that is just my opinion.

These shows have been outed as completely scripted and using actors for most parts including the diners. Some of them are based on some real life events and recreated and some are completely made up.
