Good morning y'all.

Wow, it got to 94 yesterday. They are predicting 90 for today. Supposed to cloud up later today so I'll take the sunshine now.

Yippee, we get our gas grill tomorrow.

Don't have any plans for the day, so I'll just let come what may. Cory gets his two walks though.

Have a great day everyone.

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/15/13 03:32 PM

Wonderful Wednesday ya'll puppy

It's going to be another gorgeous day in AL. I'm going to gear us all up and take the monkeys walking in just a sec. Then this afternoon I have a doctor's appointment to get scripts for some med that a doctor that I can't stand decided to cancel my scripts (asthma, blood pressure) without telling me. I found out when I called in refills. eek So, have an appointment with a different doctor this afternoon. Hopefully he will write the scripts I need. If not, I'll be climbing the complaint ladder til I find someone who will. But, I'm going to hold the thought that this doctor will do the sensible thing.

Brilliant hubby had the idea to put Lil Soot's Thundershirt on Sky last night. Worked great. His boo boo is covered so he can't lick it, and it can heal.

I'm not sure what is going on with him right now though as he is pacing a circle in the den. On one section he knocks into my little table that holds my mirror for tv watching. I fix it, he comes back by and scoots it. puppy

Off to walk wave

Good morning boomies! I'm getting ready to take my puppies to the river. I'll be a happier worker and they will stop placing toys on my desk to throw for them. puppy

Unfortunately after that I am tied to the corner. It's so beautiful out it's hard to sit. lol

Cooler today, no Bubba incidents seen yet, but I did only feed him 1/3 of a can of wet food and he is bugging me for me and looking so sad eyed. Awwww. I'm not giving in. He has lots of dry food if he wants it.

OH...gotta go. OJ is about to testify!!!!!

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/15/13 05:14 PM

Woohoo Ana, have fun!

The doggies and I are just back from the park. Everyone got laggy today so that tells me we have to go even earlier than we did today.

Now time to go clean me up and then feed the doggies once they are cooled a bit. puppy

I know what you mean L4L. Mine would not make it without cooling off in the water. They are swimming right now with about 5 other dogs. Enjoy your day!

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/15/13 06:17 PM

Ana, I am so jealous. I can get the dogs to water if I'm willing to drive 30 minutes and then hike 45 minutes to an hour to get there. I'm glad your guys are having fun! puppy

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/15/13 07:20 PM

It's ten miles to the river for me and maybe a third of a mile walk to it. I can go across the street to the lake because it's really clean and big but the ticks have officially chased me away until frost. I hate using the gas to drive that far, but I have no other alternatives. Have you tried using google earth around you to see if there are any hidden areas with water you can sneak the dogs to?

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/16/13 12:55 AM

Ana, I haven't. The river is close by, but there are big ole crocs in there, or maybe gators, but whichever, they have lots of big teeth and dog is on their menu. There was a 14 foot one on the Robert Trent Jones Golf course the other day. So, I only do lakes but will try the Google idea. The doggies love to swim (except Seagan and she will actually get in now up to her belly) and you'd think there would be lots of places here. If I were rich I'd buy lake front property and the doggies and I and Soot would have a blast.

Back from a doctor boondoggle...took 2 hours and lots of running around to get 1 simple script written. Ran into some folks there that we hadn't seen in years, but I couldn't talk....had to get out of there before my frustration was expressed in a spectacular way.

Then hubby and I got groceries and hit the going-home-from-work traffic.

Got home and went up to change. Skymonkey came up with me as he always does. I took off my shoes, leaned over to pick them up to put them away at the exact second that Skyman leaped onto the bed. Ouchie doodle, he smacked my forehead with the top of his head and knocked me silly. I have an enormous blue/black knot just over my left eye.

Hubby brought me ice and I laid down for 20 minutes. Then up to work on dinner. Still waiting on dinner as the pork chops are super thick and the grill ran out of gas. lol

Hubby switched tanks and we should be eating soon. puppy

Back later wave

Midgie! What!! No exercise? Hmmmm..... lol Just do it! hearts

L4L, I discovered our little secret areas hidden in the woods that I never would have thought were there if it wasn't for Google Earth.I can understand nopt taking them by the crocs or gators. eek
Glad you got at least one of your scripts.

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/16/13 04:29 AM

I am home from the game and had a wonderful time!! I could not believe that gas went up thirty cents over night! eek Good thing my niece has an HHR and uses E85 cause that was only $2.99!!

Hope everybody has had a lovely day!! It was 98F at the game. I think I found out where Summer has been hiding. lol I lassoed Summer and took it home with me cause it was 81 here when I got home!! lol

Ana sorry the ticks are so bad. Mix up a cup of water and 2 cups of distilled white vineger, add your own scented oil and spray on self and clothes just before going out. It's suppose to work at repealing the ticks.

L4l hope your head is better in the morning. Me and Sassy have done that and that hurt so I can only imagine how it felt with your big dogs. eek

Re: Hump Day? I Lost Track - 05/16/13 04:53 AM

Nan, we have the highest gas prices in the nation here. I feel your pain! eek It's been between 4-4.40 a gallon the last month.
If I don't bring the ticks home the dogs do. sad They won't bite them because they have advantix on them but they carry them in a deposit on the couch, bed etc. I hate them!! I found one on my shower wall today while showering.

So glad you had a fun day! Peter is at the Cubs game right now.
