Good morning everyboomie. wave

Here's Joey, back from the land of big thunder boomers and nasty storms.

It's the pits when you're wanting to get on line, and visit your friends, and see what's going on in the real world, but cannot get on line.
Then, I have these horrifying thoughts of solar flares knocking out all electronics on Earth, or of nuclear bombs doing the same thing, and the human race being thrown back into the dark ages, with no electricity, and never being able to get on line again. scared

No more Farmville.... cry

No really. No more Gameboomers, and not even a phone to call anyone with. Can you imagine? frown

Then, at work we would have to go back to writing out sales tickets by hand, and accepting cash only. smirk

No refineries, no gas pumps, no gasoline, no automobiles...... shocked

These.......are my inner thoughts tonight.............coming to you from the outer limits. blush

Have a happy day everyone. rah

Re: TGIF - 05/17/13 03:44 PM

Fantastic Friday ya'll puppy

I've had a very confusing morning. Hubby's phone beeped at very 0darkthirty. I thought it was our go walking alarm, so I popped up and chatted away at hubby as I was already awake. When hubby looked at me like "What is wrong with you?" I figured something was wrong. Looked at the clock, and yep, so not time to get up.

So we snuggled and tried to go back to sleep but it didn't work for me. We finally got up and headed to the park. I forgot my water <sad me> And then looked at the clock in the van which said 5:00. Thought "Wow, it's really light out. I wonder what time it's getting light now?" Finally figured out it was 6:00...the van clock never sprang forward. rotfl

Got home, decided to try cooking my oatmeal in milk. EEEK, it was awful. Tossed it out. Made it the regular way. Got the doggies fed and heart wormed.

Came down to sit and sip and surf, only to have Missy Seagy start barking at the stairs. I hushed her, and then heard the front door (which I cannot see) open. In came hubby who had forgotten his magic card to get into work. Had to drive home to get it.

Oh, also called the vet to change my 2 o'clock appt for an 11 o'clock one as I realized at 3 a.m. that I couldn't have a 2 p.m. appt. as son would need my car to pick up the boys before I'd get back. Thank goodness my vet is flexible.

Joe, those are some thoughts. Next time try to dream of chocolate puppy

Ana, have with the boys. Hope the corner is fun and quick.

Niteowl, we've missed you. Sorry you've been ill. Hugs to you.

Haroula wave

Sue, thanks for the coffee. Is the campground busy? How are the doggies?

Gerry, anything planned for the weekend?

Gail, homemade spaghetti sauce happydance

Midgy, enjoy your downtime!

Hello and goodbye back, Venus. Have fun where ever you are off to.

Connie, I hope they get the part right this time. luck

Darlene, happy skooshing!

Nan, enjoy the fish fry. Be safe puppy

Re: TGIF - 05/17/13 09:45 PM

Hola everyone! It's a full corner day, no run with the dogs. I'm too far behind and Merlin was limping so I took that as a sign to stay home and work.

Niteowl, sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope it's nothing serious and that you get well quickly.

L4L, have you tried Quinoa flakes instead of oatmeal? It's wonderful!

gotta run...

Re: TGIF - 05/18/13 01:12 AM

Hi Nan.Today after my short work day I ran some errands, went to my chiropractor's, picked up a few things at the store, checked in to Marshall's to see if there was anything I liked, then came home and took a quick nap as I got up early today. What a beautiful day we had. I hope you all had my weather. smile Tomorrow I'll have to clean. I've been putting it off. Bets you can come over and dust for me (heh, heh) as I know how much you love to dust. Just kidding my Dear.

Re: TGIF - 05/18/13 01:13 AM

Hi ya Ana, I have never even tried Quinoa, though I have some in the kitchen. I looked up the flakes though and in doing so found This Recipe. which sounds really good. I shall have to order some and try it. How do you cook your flakes?
Posted By: BrownEyedTigre

Re: TGIF - 05/18/13 01:52 AM

L4L, I use this brand and cook like it says on the package and eat it like oatmeal. I've also mixed it with almond flour and parmesan cheese to use as a breading.

Midgie, You can write in the dust in my house right now but no here is foolish enough to do it. He who writes in it, cleans it. rotfl

soot, I am glad your weekend is here!

Nan, hope you had fun. Sorry you only have a couple more.
I am not even close to being done, but I did finish one yesterday so now working on only one. yay
