Good morning and have a great Saturday Joe, manxman, Haroula, Cailyn, Gerry, Space Quest, Gail, Connie, soot, Ana, Nan and all who come in after me. wave

Well, I'm off today. Had a terrible day at work yesterday. frown My manager came to visit, and he informed me that someone at the store is saying that I never do anything while I'm there. Which is ridiculous since I'm working hard from the time I'm there until the time I leave. Luckily, he didn't believe the rumor - he can see evidence that it isn't true anyway - however, it is sabotaging my job nevertheless. If he keeps getting complaints, I could lose my job. So, I hate to do it, but I'm going to have to start documenting everything I'm doing and have the store managers sign what I document. Such a hassle, but I have to so something.

I'm pretty sure I know who it is. She used to work in the department I'm in, and is probably still upset that she no longer does. It's the reason I transferred to the vendor company. I was also in that position with the store, but they kept giving more and more hours to the vendors and fewer to us. I understand she wishes she was still in that position, but firstly, that isn't my fault. And secondly, it's been over a year, and she still has more hours and makes more than I do in the position she's in. She should move past it already. mad

So, anyway, that was my big complaint for the day. lol Today fiance and I are off to the store. I need a new work shirt, and we have grocery shopping to do.

Hope everyone here has a great Saturday. spring

Re: Saturdiner - 05/18/13 04:42 PM

Nan, what's on your agenda for the day? It's going to be 80 here, I'll blow some north for you!

venus, that's why I just can't get myself to work outside the house anymore. I find the environment of working with backstabbers is just too much stress for me. I am sorry you have to go through that.

I'll be heading to the park with the dogs shortly. Merlin is still limping but letting me know he does not care. lol

Re: Saturdiner - 05/18/13 04:53 PM

I can empathize with you venus! I had a temporary secretary job (working with my dad in a peace corps training camp) and the other gals all banded together and got me fired. Was awful. They actually got a hold of some paperwork (time sheets) I'd typed up and CHANGED the amounts to make it look like I was totally incompetent. They sure did a great job and I was booted. No easy boot either since were were actually in a 'camp' and I lived in a cabin with them and when I returned off a weekend home, all my stuff was packed and outside the cabin. First clue to something was wrong. rotfl

Good luck with your job saboteur. Invite her out to lunch and see how fast she runs the other way. Be overly kind to her and maybe she will get the idea that you KNOW. Leave little 'gifts' on her desk (a flour, notepad, etc.) and make sure she knows they are from you her 'friend'. That should make her really uneasy.

I've done that with someone who hated me and it actually worked. Kill them with kindness. Also works on siblings. Ask my sister. woot

Re: Saturdiner - 05/18/13 05:22 PM

Super Saturday ya'll puppy

I slept in and in and in today. After getting up at 4 a.m. (and waking at 3 a.m.) I needed it. Then did some research and some ordering at Amazon, some weather research for son, calling b'day son (at the movie...ooops) to sing Happy Birthday to him, we are now thinking about walking the 4 legged monkeys.

Supposed to be grey and overcast all day. Tis a good thing and a bad thing. Son was going to take the kids to the lake all day today, so that is not good for him. On the other hand, we could probably use a bit of rain.

Anyone heading out to see the new Star Trek movie?

Hubby and I are working on our wills today. Son thinks it is morbid but I think it is reasonable and should hubby and I die together, it will make all the kids lives easier. We haven't done it since they were teens, so lots of changes needed.

Daughter is sickie baby. Wish she were here and I could baby her.

Skyman has a big shaved patch on his side which made hubby hurt when he saw it. Good thing he is not a show dog (Skyman not Big Soot).

We will also clean ears and cut nails today. wave

Hang in there Venus. As Ana said, that is all too prevalent. Daughter is dealing with the same thing in her military office (where this stuff should never ever happen but does) right now. The nice thing about the military is one always knows either the bad egg will leave or you will due to transfers. wave

Edit: Back from our walk. Clouds rolled in just as we left. My book really heated up so now I have to walk tomorrow to see what happened. lol

Then home to feed dogs and feed us. Had a great smoothie called the Everything Smoothie...and it is...lol...and peanut butter toast.

Hubby headed out to wash cars and I'm going to clean up the kitchen and do some laundry but wanted to wave to you all first.

Hi everyone. I need to go back to work in a little bit. I got a lot done since coming home from work this morning.

I'm a little sad today because today is the 5 year anniversary since my Bob passed away. I'm remembering all the good times over 45 years of marriage. sad

Happy Saturday Friends!
In the 90s F here as usual. Don't expect anything different until October.
Ana, I have the same issue as you do. I can't foresee me ever working anywhere but home if I do get another job. Too much drama and angst. I can't handle the stress anymore without it affecting my health seriously.
One of Remy's ears has straightened up and now waiting for the other one. He's still living with his mom til 1st wk of June. I put a new pic on my FB page.
Well, got to go do my laundry and housework. Wishing all a good weekend!
Andrea wave
PS Hope SharonB is OK. Good thoughts headed your way, Midgie!
