I'm watching the coverage on all 3 of my security monitors. I'd have more stations up if I had more monitors. Terrible horrible damage and they are just starting to do some rescues. Lots of people missing and the devastation is said to be the worst tornado in the history of the world, so quotes the weather guy.
Prayers for everyone.

How heartbreaking, how scary. I couldn't believe the devastation and the fact that they believe it was an EF 5 and was 2 miles wide.
I hope and pray that all are safe!
Terri
It's certainly the worst I can recall. My heart goes out to all.

My heartfelt prayers to all for continued safety and strength. May they be able to soon move forward.
Please don't consider me uncaring for human life but I was also saddened to hear of the loss of 75-100 horses on one farm.

I pray that is wasn't as bad as the EF5 that hit Joplin, Missouri in 2011. That was horrific too. The horses saddened me too, but I certainly the elementary school children all made it. So far everyone in one school is accounted for.

Re: Oklahoma Tornadoes - 05/21/13 12:49 AM
New reports are that 24 3rd graders and teachers are probably dead in the rubble of the school. All the other grades made it out but that group was in a hallway and they think a concrete wall collapsed on them. I'm praying they are wrong, but they laid out body bags a while back and having been in emergency services (EMT) I know what that means. I'm so sad.

Oh, no, how horrible... I hope it's not so, but it doesn't sound good.
The same storm is coming through here right now - so far only heavy rain and some hail.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the people in Oklahoma. What a horrible loss. I have been astounded at what has been on CNN all afternoon. Such sad news. I hope and pray that no GB members were in that area.

Has anyone heard from Joe?
Yes, Joe is okay but he has storms. He is about 90 miles from Moore.

Re: Oklahoma Tornadoes - 05/21/13 02:29 PM
I'm adding my prayers too. We have been watching it on the weather channel.
They revised the total to 24 deceased so I am glad the loss of life was not as extensive as originally thought.
This is a heartwarming
video of a woman finding her dog.

Aw Ana!
Aw Ana.
I would be bawling right there and there.
Thank God that there are less fatalities than reported. I was-still praying for all those kids.

Well, I missed yesterday.
What I'm seeing on t.v. looks like a war zone. Prayers for all those folks. I can't imagine having to deal with this.
I saw the mayor this morning asking people to stay away so that the rescues could proceed unimpeded.
Wasn't that the sweetest thing MaG? I was so happy for her. When it comes down to tragedies like this, you see what really matters and what can be replaced.

Thanks for that doggie link Ana. I saw a shorter version just a few minutes ago but this one showed the dog walking. What a heartwarming moment for the poor lady who lost everything. Tears welling up again. How much we forget it's the little things that make life worthwhile.

Re: Oklahoma Tornadoes - 05/23/13 02:39 AM
I can't imagine being in a situation like that and being as calm as that woman seemed to be.
I agree oldbroad. So many of them seemed far more calm than I believe I would have been. I imagine they must be exhausted as well and probably in shock.

I'm thinking shock too.

Ana a bright spot in all that devastation. I'm sure the lady was in shock. Hard to comprehend all that destruction.
