I just read Jack Vance passed away last Sunday (Obituary).
A SF/F writer (and 3 mystery novels under the name Ellery Queen), he influenced many writers such as Harlan Ellison, George R.R. Martin and Gene Wolfe.

I loved reading his books, rereading them more than the other books in my collection.

May he rest in peace.
