Prayers for Neighbor Kathy

Yesterday afternoon, my neighbor, Kathy, who is my best buddy and partner in crime called to say her brother's wife just called. Usally it's her brother at that hour (they keep in contact daily). Their grandson (Kathy's grand nephew), the only child of Kathy's brother's son, had just committed suicide by hanging.

Need prayers for Kathy and her brother's family please. She could hardly talk on the phone with me and she's usually a chatterbox. Felt so bad for everyone.

Kid was only 22! Don't know exactly what happened, but he had just been discharged from the service (unknown circumstances but might be unstable or unfit from the description), had gotten his girlfriend pregnant, and was due to appear in court today on some unknown charges not related to any of the above.

He was living in an apartment with the girlfriend over the girl's mother's house and the mother is the one who found him.

So sad, so young, kid on the way. Just a terrible tragedy and so far nobody really knows what got it to this point.

Praying for him, his family, my neighbor and all involved. So sad.

Neighbor Kathy is feeling better, she got to talk to her brother last night. He was dealing better with it all but still says nobody knows why or what prompted the suicide. Still very sad. He was just a young 22 year old with his whole life ahead of him.

Really sad Sorta...prayers gone up for Kathy and family.

UPDATE: Since nobody seems to know the 'why', one of the Aunts (who lives nearby) is going to start investigating on her own. She is going to ask why he was discharged from the Army after Basic, and then she will go to his job and go to the police to see what a 30 dollar theft from his job (I guess he stole it) over a year ago might have to do with whatever he was supposed to appear in court for the day after the suicide. Best guess so far is depression due to drug use (legal or illegal).

She will also talk to the pregnant girlfriend and her mother (the mother was the last to see him about 1/2 hour before)and was home downstairs when he killed himself in the stairwell upstairs.

This aunt was closer than the other relatives so she really wants to bring some closure. Hope she finds out something.
