gameboomers prayers needed

sorry its taken me so long to ask. but am needing some big time prayers for our 38 yr old daughter. this is the mother to the granddaughter that lives with us.she is battling cancer again of the brain. we just found out sunday that she has been in the hosptial since tuesday. it doesn't sound good. this time they are say its cns lymphnoma. she hada brain biopsy yesterday and we all went up last night. she was still out of it but she did respond to us saying her name. our oldest daughter and youngest daughter have been a really big help on finding out what we need to know. she(jeannie) isn't talking yet, but was following commands this morning when oldest called at 6am. well she called back before she went to work and her sister still isn't talking and stopped following commands. the daughter has 2 daughters of her own and one lives with us and the other(17yrold) is living with friends and working where she lives at. our oldest and youngest are getting these 2 girls together wed to help them to figure out what they need to do. i will keep everyone posted as much as i can. thank you everyone

thank you. we are hoping for better news as the days goes by too. may have to make a quick trip back over there. hubby and i can't drive in wichita so we are having to depend on the oldest and the youngest daughters to either get us there and that makes it hard on their jobs as well. the yongest daughter has to take off work so much for her oldest( the one with heart condintion) . this is going to be a long road a head of us all.

this is the latest update we have. we are working on getting papers signed for durable power of attorny


Things don't look good as of right now. They are gonna start steroid Iv back up to try to reduce swelling in her brain. If that doesn't work not sure what's gonna happen.

little bit of good news concerning my sister, Jeanette Rose Blair! They have moved her out of ICU, she was coherent enough to have a small conversation with me a few minutes ago ad even knew who I was! We still have a long road ahead but those prayers everyone are sending up are working so please keep them coming!

yep. everyone but me went over to see her this evening. hubby called me on his phone while they was there and i got to talk to her. she is still having some problems talking and remembering. she doesn't remember she had her surgery. it makes me wonder if she has had a small stroke on top of it all. but will wait until we find out the results of the biopsy

ok update. starla and becky talked with the dr this morning. jeannie has aggressive cns lymphnoma. has not spread any where else with chemo she has a chance of 2 yrs, without chemo they are saying 2 weeks. she will be in the hospital at least 2 more weeks and they are wanting to start chemo on monday. also we are working on getting a dopa and getting her in a nursing home.

Very sorry to hear that My10. I lost both my parents to brain tumors, it's a rough path.

yes it is. she had cancer of the brain 2 yrs ago and fought it. this one is worse than what she had before. also these are the 2 girls that lost their father 2 yrs agos when he killed their stepmom and himself.

thought i would let you know , our oldest daughter went over yesterday to see her sister. and was able to get her out of her room for a while in a wheelchair, even as cold as it was yesterday she wanted to go outside for a little bit. chemo starts today. will keep you posted as much as i can.

i can tell you daughter got her first chemo on monday. oldest and youngest daughters went over monday night to see if they could get the dpoa signed. well the daughter that is sick is faking the incompentent situation of things. not sure how to word this. oldest daughter talked to the dr today and the dr and nurses are all seeing how she is faking not know anything on what we have been trying to do to help. so as a family we have had to take a step back and see what happens. we will stay in touch with the dr and nurses in case we need to rush over there. as a family we are having a hard time doing this but this daughter has played games with us all of us before about certain things.. we know for a fact that she does have cancer. i am still asking for prayers for everyone here. not sure if anyone will understand what we have to do

gerry, i understand what you are saying. and no one wants to have something like this happen. we as a family have never stopped caring what happens to her but she has never been one that will tell you the truth on things.whats sad is she is pulling this over or trying to on the dr and the nurses.oldest daughter called this morning to check on her and they have moved her to a room closer to the nurses station and also put in a foley so her urine wont burn her skin as the chemo is exiting her body. again our family thanks you for all your thoughts and prayers as we go thru this

nothing new to report. oldest daughter went over saturday to see her but all she did was sleep. the nurse said she wouldn't even respond to pt . so now its just a waiting game to see what we do next or what the dr thinks needs to be done. we as a family feel so helpless not knowing what to do. all we can do is love her right now and be there for each other

again i want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. i worry every night whether we will be getting a phone call that something has happened. so that makes it for me not sleeping very good

well we had a good day. she will have to be in the hospital for at least another month. the drs want to do 2 or 3 more chemo treatments before doing another mri to see how things are going.she has to have someone sit in her room 24/7 since she can't do a lot of things on her own. am going to try and post a pic of her smiling holding a 5 wks old puppy today.. there was 10 of us there today. . it was so good to see her smile and visit with us all the best she good. we are still not out of the woods . we all want to thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. this family needs to pull together and stand together.

well oldest daughter will become DPOA for her sister. the girls(granddaughters ) do'nt feel they are capable of doing this even though one is 19 and the other will be 18 in august. also possiblity of moving her to along term nursing home sometime next week. she had another round of chemo yesterday. she is also having to have some kind of meds that helps keep her white blood count up to where they want it before chemo and are having a hard time keeping it there.

It's a huge responsibility for a teenager so I am glad someone is able to relieve them of it. Hope it all goes smoothly and praying for you all.

thank you ana. this last week has been a rough week for us. the social worker there has been a total pain in the rear. going in there telling her she is being released , upsetting her. when there are times she is so incoherent and acts like a little girl. we all know this is the cancer pushing up on her brain as the dr told us

thought i would let you know that oldest daughter got her sister moved last night to a long term care facility in the town oldest lives in. not sure how many many chemo treatments she has to go thru but the main thing is she out of the hospital and will get to do things a little more now. we will be going down on the 22 as oldest is planning a birthday party for her.will keep you updated the more i find out how things are going. also oldest daughter stopped in to check on her sister this morning and to take her some more clothes and found her up dressed and eating breakfast and all smiles. does my heart good to hear this

well daughter went to dr today and is able to start her 3 round of chem next week. she wasn't able to last week to do any because her platelets and white blood count was low. but they were better today

we went down yesterday to oldest daughters house and she had planned on a 40th birthday party for her sister. all was a fantasic day . here is a picture of jeannie with her dad and also one with her girls.

we are going to try and go down once a month to spend the day. its only about 1 1/2 drive there but it takes so much out of hubby and i riding that long anymore. at one time it never bothered us abut getting in the car and drive some where

Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures. My Son went through the Chemo and Radiation treatments. My Wonderful Gameboomer's sent support, positive thoughts and prayers for him as they are doing for your daughter. I know they were a large part in his beating the Cancer. He is now Cancer free. He keeps talking about how important it was for everyone to be positive because that positive energy definitely helped. I am sending much love, many prayers and lots of positive thoughts and energy for your beautiful Daughter and your family too.

got some news today that is some good news. oldest daughter sent a text about her sister, the drs did some test and the cancer is better .they will do 3 more rounds of chemo and stop after that. if it comes back then its hospice and they will not be doing the bone marrow transplant, the drs say she isn't strong enough for it. also she will be going into the hospital this week for a round of chemo

well we are needing prayers big time this week, daughter went in last week for her chemo and today she is totally unresponsive. the dr thinks she may have an infection in her spinal fluid and is doing a spinal tap today. will know more tomorrow . we all have decided not to rush up there until we hearing something more definitive. its really hard not to go. but hubby and i have to wait until son and daughterinlaw can take us if we have to rush over there.

So sorry to hear about the setback. Praying and sending positive thoughts.

we are waiting on the results on the spinal tap and they did a mri at 5 am this morning. she is still unresponsive. she is awake but not following any commands and guess now the nurses are telling oldest daughter that they aren't sure her sister is seeing them when they are standing right next to her. again i want to thank everyone for all their thoughts and prayers . getting tougher tougher everyday not knowing anything

ok the dr is giving her 72 hrs to start responding to any commands then we have to start talking about hospice care. . hubby isn't dealing very good which is understandable and neither is our son. her daughter that lives with us is being very optmistic (sp) but does understand . she told me last night that she feels it will be easier with her mom than it was with her dad since he died the way he did.

ok here is the situattion. the drs gave her some meds thru an iv for 3x in the last 24 hrs to see if it would help remove all the toxicity from her system. well there is no change and we have all decided its time to take her back to the nursing home where family can be with her more and see her. our son is taking her daughter over to see her today after she gets out of class. . again we as a family want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. i wouldn't not wish something like this for anyone to go thru.

thank you everyone. we will lay her to rest on saturday morning the day before mothers day. we are planning on taking her to our farm and place her there. hubby has made a cross for her and i will post a picture of it when it is done. we are all planning on wearing red that days as it was her favorite color. again my family and i thank you for all your thoughts and prayers
