Bored Beyond Belief

Jam miniature marshmallows up your nose and sneeze them out. See how many you can do at a time.

Use your MasterCard to pay your Visa and vice-versa.

Pop some popcorn without putting the lid on.

When someone says "have a nice day", tell them you have other plans.

Make a list of things to do that you have already done.

Fill out your tax form using Roman Numerals.

Leaf through "National Geographic" and draw underwear on the natives.

Tattoo "Out to Lunch" on your forehead.

Go shopping. Buy everything. Sweat in it. Return it the next day.

Pay your electric bill in pennies.

Drive to work in reverse.

Find out what a frog in a blender really looks like.

Tell you boss to "blow it out your mule" and let him figure it out.

Polish your car with earwax.

Read the dictionary upside down and look for secret messages.

Start a nasty rumor and see if you recognize it when it comes back to you.

Braid the hairs in each nostril.

Write a short story using alphabet soup.

Stare at people through the tines of a fork and pretend they're in jail.

Make up a language and ask people for directions in it.

I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow is not looking good either.

I love deadlines. I especially like the Whooshing sound they make as they go flying by.

Tell me what you need, and I'll tell you how to get along without it.

Accept that some days you are the pigeon and most days the statue.

Needing someone is like needing a parachute. If he isn't there the first time, chances are you won't be needing him again.

I don't have an attitude problem, you have a perception problem.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the [blip] is the ceiling?

My reality check bounced.

A pat on the back is only a few centimetres from a kick in the butt.

Don't be irreplaceable - if you can't be replaced, you won't be promoted.

After any salary raise, you will have less money at the end of the month than you did before.

The more [blip] you put up with, the more [blip] you are going to get.

You can go anywhere you want if you look serious and carry a clipboard.

Eat one live toad the first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you for the rest of the day.

When bosses talk about improving productivity, they are never talking about themselves.

If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit. No use being a [blip] fool about it.

There will always be beer cans rolling on the floor of your car when the boss asks for a ride home from the office.

To err is human, to forgive is not our policy.

Anyone can do any amount of work provided it isn't the work he/she is supposed to be doing.

If you are good, you will be assigned all the work. If you are really good, you will get out of it.

You are always doing something marginal when the boss drops by your desk.

If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

At work, the authority of a person is inversely proportional to the number of pens that person is carrying.

When you don't know what to do, walk fast and look worried

Super Saturday ya'll lab

Been a beautiful day here and will get the doggies out for a walk this afternoon once Soot gets back from morning errands.

I'm making soap, body wash, and shampoo today.

Joe, I don't think I'm a nice enough person to have someone I divorced as a houseguest....but then, I'm not a houseguest type of person.

Ana, glad you had fun. Hope you find the perfect bike.

Cailyn, thanks for the coffee.

Haroula, anything fun happening this weekend?

Gerry, happy Spring!

Connie, have fun.

Gail, what are you up to today?

Off to feed dogs. Takes a long time these days as Seagy has to be coaxed.

Re: Saturdiner - 03/22/14 05:20 PM

Geez Joe, I'm having flashbacks about the ex's coming back to visit! My 1st ex refused to move out of my house (only renting so it wasn't his either) until my 'new hubby to be' PAID him off. Yup, not kidding. Ex said he couldn't afford to move and stayed around causing me grief so 'new hubby to be' asked him how much it would take to get him out of here. He came up with a figure and the money was transferred. He moved the very same day. Oh what a mess. Wasn't as funny as your 'sister' scenario, but fun to remember those strange times. snicker

Cool and cloudy today. Wonder where the sun went. I suspect it's not used to the new time change (like me) and is just sleeping in.

News story here for all dog lovers: Two days ago, a little English Bull Dog puppy (4 months) managed to scoot under the fence and someone picked him up. The guy (so the story is told) took him to a 'Doggie Day Care' nearby and dropped him off telling the gal in charge he found him. Soooo 20 minutes later, the gal hands the dog over to some guy (who she said she didn't know) who just walked in and said it was his dog. Not making this up. SHE refuses to talk to the news media and is very 'suspicious' acting when questioned by police. Question was how could she turn over a dog to someone she didn't know and not take any info on him??? BUT they have him on video surveillance camera with the dog going out of the day care and are now looking for him. My gut tells me the gal KNOWS this guy, called him when the dog was turned in to her, and they thought they would profit from the doggie. It's a pedigreed FOUR thousand dollar dog!

Police are investigating big time. Reward offered now of 1000 and everyone is hoping the dog gets returned. So sad for the puppy and the owners and possibly really bad for that day care gal who from all appearances did something very bad and knows it. Ugh. Something is really fishy about the entire 'gave it away' bit.

Re: Saturdiner - 03/23/14 03:38 AM

Um excuse me but what have you done with our Ana? I can't remember Ana taking a slug day. bravo Ana. Good for you. You've certainly earned it.
Time to find my pillow as tomorrow I'll be working for the Blisses for 12 hours. Yep, that's right...12 hours. Mike is meeting his son up in ski country to try and ski(although I doubt that he'll be able to ski) as he walks with a cane. But that being said I think just getting away from the whole situation here at home, will do him a world of good. I'll be working from 8 am to 8 pm. He should be home by 5:00 but I'll be cooking dinner for them and putting Barb to bed by 8:00. We'll see how it goes. I don't mind working with Barbara tomorrow. She's such a Love.

Time to find my pillow. I didn't get much sleep last night for some reason. I've been up since 4:30 this morning. UGH!. Night all. Sleep well.
