Joanie39's Son Sends an Important Message to All

For those that may remember when Joanie's son first discovered he had cancer here and then we received the good news here, he is now helping to spread the word of early detection.

Another 'movie' star from GB. Thank goodness for Bill's knowledge that caused him to get tested. So scary. I've had 2 of those. Icky stuff, but informative. Nice to know that things are OK, and really fun to watch the TV screen of the procedure as they do it. Ooooo, ahhhhh. Just hate the prep and stuff like they said.

Thank you Ana for sharing my Son's Video. He is so happy to have the opportunity to help others. He was a little nervous and I am just so very proud of him for wanting to do this. It isn't the easiest subject to speak on but is already helping others.
I shall always be grateful for all the prayers and positive thoughts my Boomer Buddies sent for my Son. Thank you all so much. I love you guys.

My 10-year one is scheduled for next Tuesday. I lost my 2nd husband to this horrible cancer because he didn't get a colonoscopy when he should have. Thank you to your son, Joanie, for helping to spread the word!

The prep is icky! BUT the cancer is so much worse.

Your son is a blessing to all of us. His story may save many lives.

On Monday, my husband had a colonoscopy. Yesterday, he was told he has stage 2 cancer. He is scheduled for a CT scan & an MRI. Then 2 radiation treatments & then surgery. Needless to say, I'm very upset, but thank God for the stool test our doctor had us do when we went for a yearly physical. It's going to be a hard few months.

Prayers heading your husbands way judith. Glad he found it now and hope the treatments go well.

I am sending love, positive thoughts and prayers for your husband and you. It is good that it was found early. Be as positive as you can, because with positive energy surrounding both your husband and you, it helps so much more than you can know. It helped my Son through the treatments and he is cancer free now. He was at stage 3. I am also sending a big hug for you both.

I wish to just take a moment to thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for your wonderful comments about my Son and his efforts to keep others from going through what he had to go through. Instead of feeling sorry for himself, he felt bad for all of us going through it with him. I truly am so very proud of him. I am so very proud of all my Boomer family here too. You are all so loving, caring and supportive whenever needed. I just love you guys. Thank you so much.

Joanie we have all grown to care about each other on GB. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to depend on each other for the prayers and support when needed.

I had my colonoscopy yesterday and other than a few tiny little polyps, all went well. If you are over 50 or have any symptoms, GO GET ONE! All the horror stories you hear are just that - horror stories. The prep is probably the worst, but even that was a non-event. I just got my Kindle Fire with good book and a few hours later was drinking a cup of tea and checking my email. The procedure itself is even more of a non-event.
