Good morning everyboomie. welcome

Ok my early work day has been permanently altered to a 10:00 to 7:00 day. thumbsdown

Yesterday when I got up (at 3:30) I ate my breakfast and sat down to get on line for a few minutes. I looked at my phone and saw I had a message from my manager. She ask, "Did you see you had a schedule change? You work 10 to 7 Wed & Thur." WHAT??? shocked

Do you think I went back to bed at that point? Nooooo shame

I went to work at 5:00, as originally scheduled.

Today is a different story though. I'll go in at 10:00.

One of these days they will (maybe) understand that when they change a person's schedule on their day off, they cannot rely on a phone text to convey that change....................think....effectively. rotfl

Something else they (may) learn in time is that, if they were more effective at hiring and filling open positions then the need would not arise to have to text someone on their day off and change their schedule.

Even simpler than that, if the scheduler, who does scheduling two weeks in advance, did not schedule the 'only person' who will work in a department all day long, to come in from 5 to 2, then the need to change that person's schedule at the last moment, on their day off, to 10 to 7 would not arise. slapforehead

Pretty smart huh?

Have a happy day everyone.

Re: Thump Day - 07/31/14 03:40 PM

good morning everyone. yep still kicking around here. have been able to spend the last few days out side since sunday , the weather has been cool enough for me to sit out side. had 4 of the grandkids sunday for a couple of hours boy that sure wore me out. one mowed for her grandpa and the other 3 we played with bubbles. i have enjoyed the cooler weather but i think the heat is heading back this way soon. hubby's chickens are getting more spoiled day by day. somuch fun to see him catch grasshoppers for them then go into the pen and sit there and give them to them, we are anxiously waiting for the day we find out first egg. its been years since we raised chickens, so we are like little kids at christmas with them. not much on the agenda today since i am sorta of paying for my antics outside , i know better than to be outside when someone is mowing. hope everyone has a great day

Re: Thump Day - 07/31/14 09:46 PM

My, what kind of chickens did you get?

Nan, much fun had in my spate of playing in the kitchen. Calming inhalers, body powder, brown sugar body scrub, green cleaner, body wash, face wash, diffuser concentrate, and sleep lotion all new and shiny. Then cleaned up. Now it's time to sit and sip for a sec before hubby gets home and we head out to the game. If my back recovers in time, I'll go fold laundry. If not, that will go on the top of tomorrow's list.

Re: Thump Day - 07/31/14 11:10 PM

Ran errands today including a haircut -shorter hair = coolcoolcooler and how. I watched 2 more movies last night and made popcorn and a hot kernel jumped right out of the pan and stuck it's little self right under my nose and -WOW- did that hurt. And still does a bit. I have resolved today to be smarter and have more energy but then modified it to daily increments -like 5 minutes more a day. Don't overdue it.

Anyway the rest of today will be kinda pensive. In February we will have the annual family bonfire here and you know, Bud would have loved it. All those people and that wonderful food and midnight toasted marshmallows and Bud would have been the midst of it. I believe he had an old soul.

Happy Thursday. Tomorrow's August

Yankee, I like your resolve. I'll bet Bud has a friend that would like to come live with you.

We are going to take the gang out for pizza. Back in a bit. wave

Re: Thump Day - 08/01/14 12:36 AM

Good afternoon boomies! It's been a busy, busy day so far. Took the dogs to the vet then for a swim at the river. Mowed the lawn and then went back to the corner. I got stuck with my truck today when the gas pedal refused to go down. eek Finally got it freed but I'm waiting for my neighbor to get home to ask him about it.

I pick up my results from the MRI tomorrow, can't wait to see what it says.

Are we having fun yet?
