It is of interest to note that while some dolphins are reported to have learned English -- up to fifty words used in correct context -- no human being has been reported to have learned dolphinese.

Baby's First Doctor Visit
This made me laugh out loud. I hope it will give you a smile!
A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam.
The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed.
'Breast-fed,' she replied..
'Well, strip down to your waist,' the doctor ordered.
She did He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination.
Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said, 'No wonder this baby is
underweight. You don't have any milk.'
I know,' she said, 'I'm his Grandma,
But I'm glad I came.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry...

You, who worry about democrats versus republicans -- relax, here is our real problem.

In a Purdue University classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States . It was pretty simple. The candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.

However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president.

The class was taking it in and letting her rant, and not many jaws hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, "What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?"

Yep, these are the same kinds of 18-year-olds that are now voting in our elections! They breed and they walk among US...

Lord--we need more help than we thought we did!

Re: Saturdiner - 08/02/14 09:12 PM

I've been checking out 'mechanical keyboards' to use with my new computer. I like the feel and the 'spread' of the keys. I tend to hit hard and my fingers slip over to other keys on the newfangled ones that are so nice and flat. Only found 2 to try out at Best Buy. Geeee, they make so many, why don't they have demos to try?

Penelope arrived late, but was comfortably nesting on the trunk of my car, using the spoiler as a back rest. Cute. She's still resisting the red grapes. I've got to find some black ones. She is eating the roll I left for her.

Actually spitting a bit of rain. Not enough to matter, just wet the pavement a bit. Wish it would pour!

Nan, Robert has a Predator's game tomorrow. Yes, I always spend too much. We also went to Staples and I bought a new touch screen laptop. I gave my other one to my grandson as the case on his cracked. They wanted to much to try to fix it with no guarantee it would work.

Re: Saturdiner - 08/02/14 10:42 PM

Good to hear from the Penelope Gazette. I'm going to subscribe to it. Sorta, I think she's got your number. Keep at that computer -it is not a laptop, right. My 8.1 is laptop and all I had to do is attach the asus mouse to it and away we go.

At 7:23 this AM it was 70 degrees and I felt cold. Lovely lovely weather. My daughter, Elaine, made home made tofu and it was quite a production and half way through she wondered why she started this anyway. Home made tofu is supposed to be delicious. She is vegan and looks great.

Happy Saturday what's left of it.

Re: Saturdiner - 08/02/14 11:36 PM

Nope Yankee, my new computer is an HP All-in-One desktop 19 inch screen. Very neat. Just a big screen which takes up not much room, speakers integrated, everything in it including the CD/DVD drive. Just connect a keyboard and mouse and it's good to go. I have a wireless mouse and my friend is buying me a Gaming Mechanical Keyboard. It's a MEKA G-1 Illuminated. Oh so great! I tried his, fits my wide fingers, needs a hard touch so it's not delicate and doesn't let me make a million mis-strokes. It's also going to have lighted keys so it can be seen in my computer under desk drawer in the dark. Neat! I had no idea they made mechanical keys anymore, but I guess the dedicated gamers use them a lot. Those little bubble pads on the regular keyboards just go flat after awhile and start causing problems. I was using a mechanical board on my old old old Pavilion and never realized it. I donated that to the thrift store before I knew. It was the wrong color anyway and wasn't a USB connect. Now I will have all NEW stuff and it should last me forever.

Penelope fan club? Sounds good. Maybe I should get her a facebook page? or Twitter account?
