Hope your flea nightmares don't last too long, Joe. lol

Sleep well, Cailyn.

Have a happy day, too, Ana.

Glad you got your games working, Karen. bravo Have fun playing!

It's Wednesday night for me, and I'm off to sleep. I actually have to go in later tomorrow, as one of the stores I'm scheduled for doesn't open until ten. Which means that I'll have to start my day at eight if I want to make everything work out properly. Getting up 6:30 actually qualifies as sleeping in for me now, at least on a work day. lol

Okay, off to sleep. Have a terrific Thursday, everyone. winter

Re: Thump Day - 01/15/15 04:36 PM

Thumping Good Thursday ya'll puppy

Stretched my way out of bed and into the kitchen to start prepping a beef stew for tonight. Not starting it yet. Will do that just after lunch, but wanted to gather ingredients and cut the meat. Will also get yogurt started then.

Decided to go ahead and treat K-man's ears, so that is done til Monday.

Must go get socks from upstairs. I can always tell the degree of cold out there from what I need on my feet. Most of the year, I'm barefoot. Then when it gets cold, I break out my houseshoes. But when the really cold days hit, I have to add socks or my feet freeze all day. Thought I could get by with just house shoes but as soon as I sat down at the 'puter, my feet froze. Even with socks will have to keep my feet up while sitting as our concrete floor is Chilly in this weather. Most of the year it is fine, but in this weather, up is good.

It's rainy, gray, cold and icky. Will not be going walking today. The best news is the weather is supposed to be improving by the weekend. This is a good thing as the boys will be joining us today thru Monday. We seem to have bad weather on the weekends that we have the boys, so nice weather will be welcome by all.

Lil Soot must have eaten something he shouldn't have. Refused a treat first thing and then upchucked. Hmmmmm......Will give him a day before I get worried as he is famous for chomping on wood.

Joe, love the "facts." Please send the sun. I do believe someone has kidnapped it and I miss it terribly.

Luck, Nan wave

Re: Thump Day - 01/15/15 08:45 PM

Back from the big city = Lexington, Texas. MD's appt, then bank, then Tana's Shoppe of Beauty, then to plumber's to pay off my bill and then hommedy-home and good to see it too. Just gonna slough off the rest of the day. It's great getting old and retireing.

Karen, that's a fine name for my new Proflo. How ya doing?

Only 1 horse is buried in my front yard. My pony, Mr Pony Jumper, and 2 horses, Snippet and Likely Nativo or Nat, are buried in the pasture. There's quite a pet graveyard back there. Yeah, like you I sure do miss them but it's good to outlive your pets isn't it.

Lovely day. The sun is shining and it's warm and the furnace is resting andandand. I should be out walking around but my games are calling, "We're over heeeerrre".

So with that -auf weidersehn

Yankee, sounds like you've had a good day.

Beef stew is in the oven and yogurt is in stage 1. Both need further attention in a few minutes. Son very helpfully cut up all the veggies for the stew while I browned the meat. Kitchen is cleaned. Dishes are washing. I'm sitting and sipping for 15 minutes wave

Re: Thump Day - 01/16/15 02:33 AM

Just met the nicest man! He's living with his wife up the street aways. Seems Penelope the peacock was headed home from my house after eating, and something scared her or dunno why, but she was IN the road wandering in and out of traffic (heavy going home traffic at this hour). Many cars just stopped or went around her OR each other not seeing her and I was scared to death she would be smashed. The BAD neighbors across were just watching and laughing! Stupid people. They did nothing to help. I was about to swallow my pride and go across to their side (peacock was right AT their car so it would be hard) but just as I started across, this nice elderly man stopped his van, got out and scooted her back to this side. HE knows what to do with wandering animals. Make them MOVE to safety. So she just ran back, got to the neighbor's yard and started her trek home. Whew! He and I stood there chatting about stuff as I thanked him profusely. Nice man. No ring, but he mentioned a wife, and asked if I had a hubby. Hummmmm. Maybe he was just flirting . Ha. Very interesting day AGAIN.
