Here are some more really funny sayings, witty quotes, cute and clever bumper sticker quotes, and interesting thoughts. Some are pretty funny, a few are hilarious, some are painfully true, and some are clever and witty. (and of course, some of these are pretty stupid sayings and dumb sayings that aren’t that amazing… )

Here’s a story about the jobs I had and tried to get. My Top 20 Jobs: A punny story.

My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned, I couldn’t concentrate.

Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn’t hack it, so they gave me the axe.

After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn’t suited for it. Mainly because it was a so-so job.

Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was exhausting.

I wanted to be a barber, but I just couldn’t cut it.

Then I tried to be a chef–figured it would add a little spice to my life but, I just didn’t have the thyme to find a recipe for success.

Finally, I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn’t cut the mustard.

My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn’t noteworthy.

I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn’t have any patients.

Next was a job in a shoe factory, but I quit for the sole reason that I just didn’t fit in.

I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn’t live on my net income.

Thought about becoming a witch, so I tried that for a spell.

I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but when I got home I was just too drained.

I got a job at a zoo feeding giraffes but I was fired because I wasn’t up to it.

So then I got a job in a gymnasium (work-out-center), but I found my task very weighty, and they said I wasn’t fit for the job.

Next, I found being an electrician interesting, but the work was shocking.

After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it.

My last job was working at Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.

That show sounds interesting, Joe. thumbsup

Have a great day, too, Ana.

Hope Election Day goes well, Haroula. luck

Happy day to you, too, Gerry.

Hope the snow is not as bad as predicted for you, Gail! I'd take some from you if I could. lol Our snow hasn't been lasting very long this winter. We keep getting rain that washes it all away.

Enjoy your day, Space Quest.

Well, I just got my hours for next week, and I am not happy. The hours were a bit skimpy the past couple of weeks, but I was told that they would go back to normal this week. Instead, they're worse. mad Going to have to talk to my manager about this one on Monday, as I can't afford to pay my bills if they continue to give me these hours.

As for today, it's my normal day off, so I think I will get some more gaming in. I really should get back to The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, and not let my early access go to waste.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday. winter

Venus, I wish you the best about this hours matter. Have you ever explored hospital/health careers. I mean the business side. Anyway, best wishes.

Karen, L4L is correct, it is 2 hours. So it's quarter to 10 here but quarter to 8 there -wake up time. Are you close to the Pacific? I love the water. I grew up by the Niagara River. Miss it.

Beauty day today.

Yesterday during mordor I asked for some more perks so Mordor could be more threatening and the smart alec game said I must pursue the main quest more. The nurve.

Good morning all! Snow day here today, it ruined my trip to Starved Rock I had planned. Darts was a huge fail. I discovered I can't even throw hard enough if I was given a 5 foot cheat line away from the board. And despite I only tried 6 times mr arm is retaliating today. I sure do have a long road to recovery.

Yankee, enjoy your day, whatever it brings.

Nan, how is the eye? Feeling normal now?

Venus, sorry about your hours. I hope that you can work it out.

SpaceQ, how's things?

Gail, hope you get just enough snow to make it pretty!

Gerry, Merlin is not so great. We are just spoiling him as much as we can. puppy

Haroula, hope the elections go in the best direction for your country.

Supercalifragilisticexpalidocious Sunday ya'll puppy

Popped up early and watched "Sunday Morning," my favorite way to spend Sunday morning. Son, hubby, boys and I are heading out to watch "Alice in Wonderland" this afternoon. That means I'm heading up in a few seconds to wash my hair so it can dry before we have to leave.

Boys want to see if there are any Geo-caches near the theater, so we might leave early and see what we can find. wave

Re: Sip & Surf Sunday - 01/25/15 05:47 PM

I love looking for geo-caches when I ride the bike in the summer. Do you look online before you go for locations?
Enjoy your day!

wave Howdy ho, sweet Joe! Thanks for the openers and have a happy Sip & Surf Sunday!

Ana, sorry about your shoulder. hearts Hope the pain eases today!

Good morning, sweet 'Boomies!

Easy peasy day planned!

Re: Sip & Surf Sunday - 01/25/15 05:58 PM

Good morning Ana, and all. wave

We're up to 55 degrees this morning, and I'm getting ready to take Baby out for a long walk. puppy

Today is my last day off until Friday. Bummer smirk

12 Monkeys was a short film in 1962, then a movie staring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt in 1995, and adapted for the TV series. It about a biological apocalypse, where scientist send a man back in time to try and prevent the apocalypse. Then it gets real complicated. lol

Another good Scifi show is Helix, which is similar, but if you didn't watch it last season you miss a lot of the history of the story which is not absolutely necessary to know, but it certainly helps. yes

Ana to answer your question, I'm enjoying my new home, and looking forward to making some improvements whenever it's feasible for me. happydance

New carpet in the living room, and new cabinet doors like the ones we bought for the other house.

I did put a chain-link fence around the front yard so Baby will have the whole yard to run around in while I am at work this Summer. bravo

Time to get out of here for a little bit. lab

Have a great day everyone.

Darlene, enjoy your easy-peasy day!

Joe, that will be nice for Baby! You aren't worried about anyone stealing her? will she have a doggy door to go in and out? Glad you are enjoying your new home!

Re: Sip & Surf Sunday - 01/25/15 07:58 PM

Ana, son and the boys have just started. Son uses an app on his phone. Though since I last posted son has decided that he feels too badly to go. So we will have a g'parent/g'kid afternoon and let him rest. Boys will be disappointed as they wanted to Geo-cache. Oh well!

How long will your PT for your shoulders last?

Joe, enjoy your walk. Hope it's lots of fun. Seems like you never run out of stuff to do on a house.

Off we go, back after Alice and Chinese food wave

Re: Sip & Surf Sunday - 01/25/15 10:36 PM

L4L, does his app have a monthly charge? Last summer I just looked online to find areas, but the App was too expensive. If he doesn't have to pay can you ask him what he uses please and thank you?

I have 2 of 60 PT sessions used so I can do as many or as little as I need up to 58 more. I start back tomorrow and I can't wait. I'm definitely beating it up using it full time and it can use some manipulation and a fresh look.

Enjoy your play!

I just got back from a cold and windy walk with the dogs. I needed to get out.

Hi Boomies. I worked 7 hours so far at the Blisses. They had a choir party after their church today Twenty eight people came. Margaret (other care giver partner) and I worked our behinds off. I left at 3:00 and came home for an hour or so, now I have to go back and work for another three hours. This old body is tired. I'll be putting all those dishes and glasses away, then empty the dishwasher. I'll sleep good tonight as I got up at 5:00 am this morning. I hope you all had a good day today. The sun was out all day. Come Tuesday though the weather is forecasting over 2 feet of snow which will start on Monday night and not stop until Wednesday morning. I'm hoping we don't lose our power.

See you later.

Re: Sip & Surf Sunday - 01/26/15 12:35 AM

Today was the 74th Anniversary celebration of a local steak house that opened in the 40's. They always have a 'special' to celebrate the day. Today was Prime Rib (full order) with all the fixings and soup or salad. Yummm and the cost for such a dish? $7.99. Yup, they roll back prices to the past. Had live band and a guy outside playing a keyboard for the people waiting to get in. WE went before they opened. Stood in a long line for 15 minutes, were the next to the last couple to get the 'first' seating. Whew. There were still people lined up outside waiting for spots when we left. Worth the wait. Awesome food for a great price, but it only happens once a year. Also got to shake hands with the 'Vice Mayor of National City' (just North of us where the restaurant is.) What fun. Even better, my friend paid for my meal. Awwwwww.
