Thump Day - 03/05/15 05:57 AM

Sometimes, when I look at my children, I say to myself, 'Lillian, you should have remained a virgin..'

- Lillian Carter (mother of Jimmy Carter)

The Black Bra

I had lunch with 2 of my unmarried friends. One is engaged, one is a mistress, and I have been married for 20+ years.

We were chatting about our relationships and decided to amaze our men by greeting them at the door wearing a black bra, stiletto heels and a mask over our eyes. We agreed to meet in a few days to exchange notes. Here's how it all went.

My engaged friend:
The other night when my boyfriend came over he found me with a black leather bodice, tall stilettos and a mask. He saw me and said, 'You are the woman of my dreams. I love you.' Then we made passionate love all night long.

The mistress:
Me too! The other night I met my lover at his office and I was wearing a raincoat, under it only the black bra, heels and mask over my eyes.
When I opened the raincoat he didn't say a word, but he started to tremble and we had wild sex all night.

Then I had to share my story:
When my husband came home I was wearing the black bra, black stockings, stilettos and a mask over my eyes. When he came in the door and saw me he said,

(you are going to love this.....)

The doctor, after a thorough examination, sighed and said, "I've got some bad news. You have cancer, and you'd best put your affairs in order."

The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting.
"Well, daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don't go so well. In this case, things aren't well. I have cancer. So, let's head to the club and have a martini."

After three martinis, mother and daughter were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the woman's old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating.

The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end. "I've been diagnosed with AIDS."

The friends were aghast, gave the woman their condolences and beat a hasty retreat.

After the friends left, the woman's daughter leaned over and whispered, "Momma, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, but you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS! Why did you do that?"

"Because I don't want any of those women sleeping with your father after I'm gone."

And THAT, my friends, is "Putting Your Affairs In Order"!!

Good morning and have a great day Joe, Karen, Gerry, Connie and all who come in after me. wave

It's the start of a four day weekend for me. Thorsgoats is also off today, so we're probably going to work some more on The Book of Unwritten Tales. thumbsup As for right now, though, we're going to have breakfast. It looks like we're going to get bombarded with snow today, so in that respect, it's a good thing we're both off today. yes

Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday. winter

Penelope is front and center this morning. Jumping and flying almost as good as before. She's still hesitant to approach too closely. Eating well, pooping even weller. Ugh! Time to hose down the deck.

Does anyone know if old (1980's) UK pound coins are made of silver? I'm still sorting all my foreign coins for possible sale to the jewelry store buyer and the pounds are very heavy. They also have 'inscriptions' around the edges. Gonna look up the translations, It looks like Latin, maybe.

Off to Von's for more Toffee. Seems they had some on sale in fancy boxes for the holidays and the left overs are 75% off. Delicious! Only bought one box but wow! Hope there are some left.

Time to runnnnn.

Re: Thump Day - 03/05/15 06:17 PM

Thumping Good Thursday ya'll puppy

Did my normal "get up and spend a couple of hours in the kitchen working" routine. Kitchen cleaned, dogs fed, meds assembled for the next month. I think that will be it for my up-and-around time today as my left foot is screaming. It started talking back to me yesterday afternoon, continued all night, and is not shutting up. I'd like to be able to make it to Bible Study tonight, so that means lying low for the rest of the day.

We had our high last night (70's). It had dropped to 40 by the time I got up and is supposed to continue dropping all day lol

Joe, I love soaking in a tub. If I had room for a hot tub, I'd take up permanent residence.

Doc, how are you feeling?

Gerry, thanks for the coffee.

Connie, are ya'll getting this temp drop?

Venus, how fun for you guys to have the same day off.

Midgy, stay safe.

Nan, have fun folding!

Gail, hugs and prayers

Haroula, birthday to your son.

Ana, sounds like a great day. Where are you guys going hiking?

Sorta, glad Penelope is improving. Have fun on your shoppity shop.

Re: Thump Day - 03/05/15 06:46 PM

Cold, cold today and tomorrow and in south central Texas too. At 8:30 this AM it was only 26. My plants, cats, possys and I are inside and the furnace has been on forever. tomorrow the same. Good time to game, read books and " Why bother, whatever".

On a salad binge for 3 days now and today I added a yam and some chicken Gardien -very good.

Ringling Bros Barnum and Bailey will phase out their elephants acts by 2018. I understand both sides but circus life is not an elephant's natural world, do they really want to do all that stuff. The cirque de soliel -Circus of the sun- is fabulous and is all people performers.

The sun is out and is burning a hole in the back of my neck -most welcome
