I didn't watch the first half of the first season of this TV series when it first aired on NBC, but thanks to their web site I'm hocked.
Basic plot:
A woman is founded naked, tattooed and suffering from drug induced total amnesia. One of the tattoos is the the name of an FBI agent. This of course gets the FBI's attention.
Her body remembers the skills she had before the memory wipe even if her mind doesn't. So for example when she needs to defend herself she suddenly discovers she's a master of martial arts, but can't explain where she was trained, by whom or for what purpose.
Each episode reveals that the tattoos hold clues to crimes about to take place. How this is possible is part of the mystery. As are the motives of whoever set this up. Are they friends or foes? No one, least of all the woman herself can be sure. Although
Episode titles seem to be nonsensical but are actually anagrams. Example the pilot: "Woe Has Joined" is actually "Who is Jane Doe?"
1 "Woe Has Joined"
"Who is Jane Doe"
2 "A Stray Howl"
"Taylor Shaw"
3. "Eight Slim Grins"
"The Missing Girl"
4. "Bone May Rot"
"Or Maybe Not"
5. "Split the Law"
"The Past Will"
6. "Cede Your Soul"
"Cloud Your Eyes"
7. "Sent on Tour"
"Trust No One"
8. "Persecute Envoys"
"Suspect Everyone"
9. "Authentic Flirt"
"Lift the Curtain"
10. "Evil Handmade Instrument"
"And Unveil the Mastermind"
11. "Cease Forcing Enemy"
"In Case of Emergency"
12. "Scientists Hollow Fortune"
"Follow these Instruction"
13. "Erase Weary Youth"
"Stay Where you Are
14. "Rules in Defiance"
15. "Older Cutthroat Canyon"
last two as well as 13-23 have not aired yet. The series has already been renewed for a second season.
