Wish it was going to start sooner!
Next year. This year just a Christmas special no regular series/season.
Although season 10 is going to be Steven Moffat's last he says Peter Capaldi will still be playing the Doctor in the 11th season.
There will be a 2016 Christmas special, then 12 regular episodes in 2017 plus 2017 Christmas special. Season 10 started filming June 10th.
I'm disappointed that "Bill" will apparently be human from this century. In the original series only about half the companions were actually from Earth, and some of those were from the past, some from the future.
Nardole from the 2015 Christmas special is returning.
Whether he'll get his wishes I don't know, but Peter Capaldi would like to visit Vortis, see what the Zarbi and Menoptra (from 1965's The Web Plant, featuring the very first Doctor) look like with a budget. He'd also like to see the Axons (1971's The Claws of Axos, featuring the third Doctor and original Master) and the Daemons (1971's The Daemons, also featuring the third Doctor and original Master.)
Michelle Gomez (Missy) say's she'll be back.

So neat that this series has endured.

So long to wait. Missing the Dr. BUT I just watched the DVD of a TV series that had Peter Capaldi in it! Had no idea until I kept looking at a YOUNG man who played an angel and I just knew I knew him but couldn't place him. In the 'specials' menu at the end, the writer revealed who it was and I felt so silly not seeing it. The series went only one season, it was pitted against other 'top' shows of the era and just didn't go over well. It's sort of like Dr. Who in the 'weird' factor. Found it very entertaining. It's called, "Neverwhere". Very fun if you like BBC stuff and the commentary at the end tells all about where it was filmed (not on sets but REAL locations around London). Fascinating history there. Underground tunnels and old buildings featured. Very different, but I think Dr. Who fans would love it.
I think they are going to have to have River Song on to get me to watch again. The series has not been the same for me since Matt Smith left.
