Super Saturday ya'll puppy

Hot hot hot...nothing new there. Weatherman issuing heat advisories all over the place.

I'm planning on cleaning in the bedroom a bit. And resting a bit. Maybe cooking a bit....maybe not..we shall see.

Joe, have fun at work. Maybe you need a treadmill for the little one. Or a giant hamster wheel puppy

Space, enjoy your day.

Ana, have fun. Sounds like you are like my sister and love the heat. Enjoy!

Gerry, wavegirl

Connie, ya'll as hot as we are?

Venus, sounds like a fantastic plan.

Goodness, Gail, you and the girls need to come down here. We need major work in our back yard. I think we need to cut down all the bushes and the squirrel-sown trees to see if that will help with the mosquito problems back there.

Darlene, have a great day!

Re: Saturdiner - 06/25/16 04:48 PM

Nice day here too finally. Not hot, not cold. Light breeze and sun.

No sleep last night. Neighbor across was doing strange things...again. He has been weird since his six week 'furlough' from his job. That was interesting. He finally went back to work and things were a bit more normal, but it's been hectic around here. He's acting stranger than usual. He comes home from work, goes inside for a second to dump his lunch bag, comes back out and sits on his porch or a chair in the corner of the yard and just sits. For HOURS. Sometimes he gets up to drive to the corner to get another SINGLE bottle of beer and then gulps it down and then 1/2 hour later repeats the process. He only does this when his wife is working. She is a nurse and works 12 hour shifts. She might come home in between and then he acts a bit different and then back to his routine. He's not a good drinker.

So last night, he came over to my neighbor's house. They have kids about the same age and they started hanging out a few years back. Neighbor on my side was a catering cook and would bring home huge amounts of leftover food and lots of meat and barbeque out front. Smelled delicious. Every night almost. But now he's changed jobs and no more huge, frequent feeds. But both men still hang out at night and drink beer.

The one across who is very strange, went over last night alone (wife gone) and then left, came back with another guy I never saw and they both were at the beer fest. Then the wife came home, HE rushed across the street into the house and was soon back over here. Then WIFE came over here, went back home, and he followed. Then no more wife seen and HE came back over. Are you following this? I'm confused.

So he stayed over here with the neighbor, beer fest in progress with that new guy, and then he went home and started his little fire pit and sat there all alone for hours. At one point, there was a lot of LOUD yelling and we finally figured out it was the weird guy across, yelling at the 'new' guy on this side of the street about who knows what. New guy finally walked halfway across, they continued to talk in loud voices and then they joined near the curb and I could hear laughting. New guy went back over here but the weird guy stayed in his yard, at his fire, all night ALONE. I don't know when he put the fire out, but it was after midnight.

THEN a helicopter started circling around, very low and very loud about 1:30am. Police car went by, heard a siren, heard what I thought was about 6 gunshots South of me. Didn't find out yet what that was, but it wasn't any of my neighbors thank goodness.

Today is calm, I'm exhausted, gotta find out what happend with the helicopter and maybe gunshots and all the while, to add to the fun, little mom, Mini-Me is once again being courted by a local male cat. Can't tell if she's mated yet, but it's bound to happen. I can't catch her. Darn her. She's so smart and so fast. That means more kittens (if any survive) and those I can catch. I can grab the lone kitten Lazarus, now. He comes to eat and he is so into the food, I have managed to pet his head a lot. I will be able to catch him for neutering soon. Hate that his mom isn't cooperating with me. I'm working on her. Quite a job!

Sounds dangerous Sorta. Be careful.

Re: Saturdiner - 06/26/16 02:50 AM

Danger is my middle name lately. Neighbors were conspicuously absent all day across the street? Weird, but they probably went to the beach or something. The Landlord over there had his kids doing more touch up painting. I finally got to talk to him, he's an old friend and we lived across for 20 or more years. Got the scoop on why the sudden 'improvements'. Seems he's not good at keeping track of receipts for Landlord stuff to deduct on his income tax and he got hit with paying 600k last year! This is supposed to be a money making business. He has several rentals (many inherited from his mom) and is really a nice guy. We chatted about how to lower those taxes and talked about the house over there. Seems the mystery of the constant PLUMBER appearing when they current family moved in was because they were still on a septic tank. I thought they were on sewer when the sidewalks went in, but they didn't opt for it UNTIL the constant unclogging. So one day, when nobody really saw, they city connected him to the sewer (just a simple screw on adapter on an already in place pipe, and it was all over in a short time. Now since then, no more plumbers there. Solved that one.

Also found out that the couple in the 'granny flat' who we thought the hubby was a Border Patrolman, is actually a Security Guard somewhere. Always nicely dressed in uniform, with badges and patches.

It was so good to chat finally after them moving up the hill 3 years ago. Old friends and a really nice family with the two boys, who were in young men when they left are NOW in college. Wow. Time flies.

So quiet around here today after last night's hectic stuff. Glad for the rest.

Good morning, Boomers!

I type very slowly as a rule because of my cerebral palsy, so SortaDangerBlonde need not be alarmed. It'll take me 20 minutes to peck out this message. Here in the Delaware Valley, which includes Delaware; New Jersey south of its capital, Trenton; and the five-county Philadelphia region in southeastern Pennsylvania, the weather will be a sunny 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). I will go to church, then hang out with my fiancée. We will get McDonald's McChickens without mayonnaise for my lunch (for the mayo spoils in the summer heat) for my lunches for the week, and then she'll drop me off at home where I can (probably) restart Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis.

Have a blessed Sunday.
