Good morning everyone, have a Super Sunday. L4L it's in the upper 90's here with a heat index of 114 yesterday. Breakfast out and a Costco trip today. We are planning a 4th of July Bar- B- Que. Danish, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Hash Browns, BB Pancakes, and Toast in the NC.

Bacon sounds great Connie.

Supposed to be another hot one today!

Alrighty, off to see what's afoot!

Hot it is Darlene...our heat index is already at 105

Yep, hot hot hot......

Just inside from brushing the dogs. I am wet through and through...you'd have thought I was running a 5K or something. Lil Soot decided he was going to sit the whole time and Sky thought lying down was the way to do it. Oh well, I got some hair off them and that is what is important.

Heading to the kitchen to make potato salad as I promised the Per last weekend that I'd make it this weekend.

One thing I do love when it is this hot is how nice it feels when you come back inside to the air conditioning.

I should make some too I guess. Haven't done that since I made about 40 lbs of it for my second wedding 'picnic'. It disappeared so fast I couldn't believe it. Since it was a second marriage, we kept it simple and served my 'famous' potato salad a one of those HUGE Subway sandwiches to about 30 people (mostly from our little church and my neighbors). The Sub sandwich disappeared so fast we had to send the 'groom' and a friend back to the Subway shop to get another one. I think they are 6 feet long and huge. Who knew OLD people could eat so much??? The guy at the shop after hearing what the second sub was for (it had been only a few hours earlier that we got the first one) gave it to my new hubby FREE! Wow. How kind and wonderful of that store manager. Gee. A great wedding present. That day was also fun since one of my yard cats, who had never come in the house for 10 years, decided to sneak in, get up on the kitchen table, and LICK the corner of the wedding cake! Ugh! One of the church ladies saw it, and got the cat out, then she 'patched' the area, after carefully cutting off anything the kitty licked. We never did tell anyone else. I still laugh about it. Yuk.

Yup, going out to get some potatoes and mayo and dill pickles and eggs.

That was a good story Sorta. Now I want some potato salad.

Space, it always amazes me how cold I am when I first come back in and how quickly that feeling goes away. Was just telling the boys about how we stayed outside all the time in the summer when I was a kid because no one had a.c. and it was just too hot in the house. Sending some your way.

Sorta, happy to share. I love it too, but seldom make it. I do enjoy it while it lasts though. Happy eating!

Thanks looney. You're right when you first walk in the house it feels like the "Nestea Plunge" it is so cool but it is amazing how quick that goes away.

Sweet dreams all...it's been a long but wonderful day. Went to the gay pride parade in Chicago and then rode my bike along the beach and lake all day into evening. It was a full weekend.
