Prayers and positive thoughts from me also. I hope all stay safe.
I emailed a friend of mine in Florida last night and did receive a response back that she is ok and plans to stay that way. She was directly in the eye of some other hurricane several years back (I don't remember which one).

I'm worried about an old friend there, too, but he is not a gamer in this forum. His place is right on the coast just south of Tampa Bay, and they all got mandatory evacuation orders two days ago. He moved inland to a friend's "bunker" house, and we're hoping they'll all be fine, but this is such a powerful storm that it is scary waiting. I hope everyone gets through tonight and tomorrow, 'Boomer or not.

My neighbor's relatives are in Spring Hill, on the coast above Tampa Bay. Looks like Irma is headed right up that way if it doesn't turn into the gulf. Scary.
The most interesting part is the live video of the people standing IN the surf on the beach. Geez! Not smart, but then I've been known to do some of the same stuff in my day. I would like to think I'm more savvy now, but ya never know. I think it's the thrill of seeing nature at it's fiercest up close and personal.

I'm worried about Karla Munger, who writes reviews and articles for JustAdventure and lives in Florida. The JA forum was my only contact for her and that was shut down earlier this year.
Jenny, if you want I can send a message thru FB for you.

I don't know if Karla has a Facebook account.
JA probably does though.

Terrible destruction on all the TV stations. Feeling really sad for all the losses.
My neighbor's family in Spring Hill is OK. Whew!

My friend and her family are "safe and sound" also.
I was going to message JA on fb, Jenny. Do you want to find out?

Sure. I'd like to know that she's OK.
