Prayers Needed Please

Hi Boomers
My husband is going into surgery tomorrow afternoon.
I was hoping to have a few prayers sent his way.
He's 71 and has to have a blockage removed from his left leg.
They have him hopped up on morphine right now.
They told him there is a chance that he may have a heart attack during surgery.
But it is very rare. Please pray for him. We have been together 30 years so far.
I'm praying for many more.

Best of luck tomorrow and definitely keep us updated. I had major surgery with a blood clot in my right groin and they told me the same thing. Everything turned out perfectly as it will for your hubby too.

He is now in surgery. They said I should wait till 7 tonight,to phone and see how he's doing.

Thank you all for your support. Brian's out of surgery and onto the vascular ward now. They told me that the sound in his left leg is a lot stronger now. It will take some time to get more circulation in his foot. I'm crying as I'm typing this. I'm so relieved and very happy. I can finally get some sleep now and relax a bit.
Thank you again for all your prayers and thoughts and wishes. I'll keep you updated on his progress.

Here's an update on Brians progress.
He is still in a lot of pain but getting better.
They had to remove his toe on his left foot. The one next to the baby toe.
They just used a local instead of putting him under again.
When he woke up from surgery he was totally terrified. He said he was hearing voices and hallucinating. But he his in better spirits now.

Hi Boomers
The doctor is suppose to take out the staples in his left leg sometime today.
He had a shower for the first time in 3 weeks. He said he feels a lot cleaner now. They removed his catheter yesterday. They nurse braided his hair for him. He hasn't had a shave for 3 weeks also. I think he will look like Santa the next time I see him. I have to rely on volunteers to take me to the hospital. They have been short of late. But he his eating well again. Still not sure when they will release him. The hospital will set up home care for him. I am doing well now. I'm eating a bit more than I was. Thank you all again for all your support.

Hi everyone. Great news. BRIAN IS HOME !!!!!!!
Sorry for not updating till now. He came home yesterday. He is using a walker but he's walking. I'm so happy. He was in the hospital for 2 months. That was the longest we have been apart in 31 years. Our cat didn't seem to recognize him.
I guess he had that new hospital smell or something. He still has a way to go but progress is being made. He says he is so glad to be home. Ok got to tend to hubby. So thank you all for your support and god bless.

Thank you all for your wishes and support. Brian is starting to walk around without the walker now. His stability still needs work. His chiropractor is coming to crack his back in 2 weeks. He doesn't usually do house calls,but he is making an exception for Brian. I'm hoping this will help him,if not physically,then mentally. We have all these doctors and nurses coming in every week,it gets exhausting. Again thank you all for your support and caring.
