Black Mirror III

Is there a patch for this game? Have nearly reached the end, but have been greeted with a black screen at the police station. The inventory is still at the bottom, and and the pics of Angelina and Adrian are at the top, but that's it. The game had been acting up a bit pior..screen going to the Black Mirror logo, but coming back on. Now what? Can't believe I've gotten this far, but can't complete it! I clicked on Angelina-going from Adrian to her, and got back to the castle, but it's still Adrian, and can't find Angelina. She has the sword handle, and he has the needed gem for the handle. What to do?

Have you tried going back to a previous save and replaying?
