Scam emails pretending to be from Blizzard Entertainment - 11/06/12 05:40 AM
I have now received two emails purporting to be from Blizzard Entertainment, threatening to cut off my account because I'm allegedly involved in "trading of gold and equipment."
The emails have asked me for my Diablo III account information.
Problem is, I have no Blizzard account, don't have Diablo III, and know this is a fake. But because I have no account with Blizzard, I can't contact them to tell them about this fake email. No account means they don't want to hear from me.
I haven;t seen anything about this scam on the Internet yet, but I'm sure I'm not the only person who has received this email. Anyway, watch out.

If you don't have an account, I wouldn't worry about it. I get a set of bills every month from companies I've never done business with - I just forward them to their email abuse address.
You can try to send the email to Blizzard at the address mentioned the thread below (it looks to be from a forum support person).

I've seen these before also. Thank goodness our ISP spam filter catches them before they get to us. These aren't important enough to me to worry about reporting them, but I do report the ones I get for ebay, Pay Pal, and our charge card.
I've deleted the aforementioned and have had no trouble after doing so. We received one concerning our charge and I called the service center, number is on the back of the card, and had them check our account. They also were kind enough to give me their fraud e-mail address.
Any time you receive something which says your account will be cut off, or you owe money and you don't have an account or owe money, delete them or report them. And if you get something stating it's from your bank, call your bank.

Yes, thanks.
I wanted to send the email to Blizzard but was unable to do so as they seem to not be interested in hearing from anyone who does not have an account with them (ie if you can't login, you can't communicate with them).
However I will try the link you gave me.
Cheers.
