Windows 8

I just bought a new laptop with windows 8.
How can I put the icon of internet explorer
to the desk top.
The icon appears in the tool bar.
Not to the windows desk top,but to the regular as at windows 7.

Click the Folder icon in your taskbar to open your file browser (Computer).

Internet Explorer should be in
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer

Its name is iexplore.exe, but it will show up as only iexplore if you don't have Windows configured to show file extensions.

Right-click iexplore.exe, hover your mouse over "Send To" then click Desktop (create shortcut).

Rename the shortcut if desired. (right-click and choose Rename)
