Dreamfall. The longest journey

When Damian opens the EXIT door for Zoe to go
downstairs, the game freezes at that point..

Zoe starts walking, but she just marks time in the same spot..

Can anyone help me get past this point??

I found this advice on another forum about this problem:

Try turning on VSync. If that doesn't work, when Zoe is stuck, go to the menu and lower the resolution to 800 X 600, and then she should be able to go through the door.

It's worth a try.
