PC hung so hit ctrl-alt-delete to see what was running but somehow hit a wrong key and now my address bar/favorites(etc) and start toolbar are gone. Any help out there, please?

Are you talking about a toolbar in your browser.. IE or Firefox or whatever? You may be in full-screen. If that's the case, you can toggle between full-screen and having your stuff at the top of the browser by pressing the F11 key.
