Hello, my computer tells me keepsake.exe has stopped working. - this is all of a sudden! what should i do? robert.

Is this the first time you tried to start the game? Or have you been playing it just fine and suddenly started having the problem?

If the game has never started for you, try playing with the compatibility settings, and/or uninstall it and reinstall in your user's (My) Documents folder (which isn't a "protected location" the way C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) are).

If the problem has only just started after having played the game successfully for a while, it may be due to a corrupted save.

More details could help narrow down the problem. We don't even know what version of Windows you're using or whether you have a download version of the game or disc version.

hi Jenny, i have been playing successfully now for a long time. it is definitely not a 'new' game and is not a download. the original was disc although i can't remember if i have it or not. i was playing just fine on Win7. robert.

Does it crash before or after you get to the game menu? If it crashes after, you can try loading an older save or starting a new game.

hi, it tries to load a saved game after which it immediately displays 'unhandled exception' and a bunch of code???? don't ask me tell you the code unless you are a programmer or somebody in the 'know'. robert.

It would be best to tell them the error code so that they can understand the problem better and/or help you more.

You may want to try reinstalling the game if an older save doesn't work. You may also want to try Jenny's advice and set the compatibility mode. Because it's an older game, try Windows XP (or 2000).

Actually, the error code might help. Sometimes we can look them up and find more information to help you figure this out.
