No Icons

My pc froze up and apparently while trying fix it I hit something I shouldn't have. I have no icons on my desktop, how can I get them back? All I can remember is there was something up in the left corner and I changed something.

Terri,can you go into ths safe mode and do a system restore when you had icons.

My daughter was sitting here when I typed that. She asked if you'all knew I was kidding.........I replied Nope!
She just right clicked and checked show desktop icons.

Yup, just what I emailed you! Except that you do have to click on View first like Homer says.

What did I do with the post that I referenced above, "my daughter was sitting here when I typed that". I guess it's rhetorical because I don't see it on this post.

Yep and nope. I am at a loss where the original post went. Also, I seriously need to quit posting because there are some posts that are "new" to me, because I don't remember posting them. Neurologist, here I come.

Thanks MaG. It's the icon postings that are throwing me. I do know I originally posted in the wrong place the first time. Then I moved it to glitches, but the third one is what's a big concern for me. I should only have two, not three. Why don't we just delete them all and call it done.

If you ever want to find your posts (and assuming you are already signed into your Gameboomers account)

• Click "My Place" at the top of the page,
• then select Posts from the list that appears.

You should see a list of your posts, starting with the most recent.

If you don't see "My Place," check under the ads for Adventure Shop, Shiny Loot, Big Fish, and then under where it says
GB HOMEPAGE » Forums »...
The next line under that says
Control Panel....... Forum List....... My Place

Drac. I do remember posting in Darryl Creed topic the other day but do not remember posting back in July.
As for the icon post, I did post 3 times, one by accident in General or where ever. I appreciate your observation and opinion of my mental capacity but trust me, something is not right!
Jenny100, thanks for the info. I do use the My Place to locate my posts but I did find three in doing that. I shall have to go back and recheck, this is really upsetting to me. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but gee how dull can I get!

Are you considering that the first icon post you made in the General forum was MOVED? Hey, always watching out for my fellow boomers who have the same problems I do remembering where I put stuff!

Good question. Gotta think about that for a minute, but I'd better think about it later, been playing Amnesia and head really spinning.
