Laptop - 02/26/14 05:59 PM
Now that XP is about to die, I need to update my computer, and have decided to go for a Win 7 laptop. I'd be grateful for any advice as to the build standard of such a laptop to play adventure games.
I have done some looking around and have found several items which seem to be OK, but would welcome some advice.
All the ones that I have found come with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit and all have 15.6" screens.
I have tended to ignore items with on-board video, as I believe that I have read that that is not as good as the alternative.
Ones that I have been looking at are:-
1. Dell Inspiron, Intel core i3 M350 2.27Ghz.
4 Gb RAM
320Gb HDD
512 Mb ATI Radeon HD 4330
SRS Premium Sound
2. Dell Inspiron, Intel Core i5 460M 2.53 Ghz
3Gb RAM
320Gb HDD
1Gb ATI Radeon HD4650
SRS Premium Sound
3. Dell Inspiron, much the same as 2. above, but with 6GB RAM and 512Mb
video.
4. Dell Studio, 1558 Chainlink
Intel Core i7 Q720 1.6 Ghz (quad core)
4Gb RAM
250 Gb HDD
1Gb ATI Radeon HD 5470
As I said, I'd be grateful for any advice.
