MYST: End of Ages & Windows

I just loaded MYST: End of Ages (One of my favorite games anywhere ever!) It loaded without problem, but when I start it I get a box which states "Exception type: Access violation: Call Stack: (14 levels)" followed by a series of 14 nine-diget numbers. My computer runs with Windows 7. I have tried several different compatibility settings with no change. Can anyone tell me what this means and can I get the game to operate on a newer computer?

I would take a look at this thread and check out Draclvr's post which has a link to a Myst 5 patch. This should get the game working for you.
