Question on video card

I was looking at the min requirements for The book of unwritten tales it requires Nivida series 8 or better..... I have a GTX770. Is my video card already in need of replacing?

Where did you find those minimum requirements? Steam mentions: Direct-X 9c compliant video card with 128 MB RAM, PixelShader 2.0 (BoUT 1) or DirectX 9c compatible graphic card with 512 MB RAM and PixelShader 3.0 for part 2. Your GTX770 should be more than enough.

Even then your card is way better. Series 8 is an 8xxx card.

Nvidia series 8 would be a very old card now.
It was current around 2007 -- 8 years ago.
Nvidia has changed their numbering system since then.
Your GTX 770 is WAY better than a series 8.

No.

A GTX 650 card is newer than a 7 series card, which is not at all the same as a GTX 700 series card.

Geforce 7400, 7600, and 7800 are 7 series cards from around 2005-2006.

GTX 650 is a 600 series card from around 2012.
GTX 750 is a 700 series card from around 2013.

It's all about the renaming/renumbering... which I'm sure makes sense to someone. At one time I remember you had to watch to see if the renamed 9 series cards weren't the same as some of the new cards... It was all very confusing - at least to me.
