How Flash destroys your browser's performance

I use Firefox's "ask to activate". I rarely like to watch a video and would rather read the text. CNN annoyed me when I was reading the text and the video would come on. Ask to activate works well for me.

Some websites won't function properly if you have Flash disabled -- including online stores and banking websites. So globally disabling Flash in your browser may not be practical.
