I have a question about downloading games from Amazon. After you purchase and receive the game are you able to burn the game to a disc?

You can burn anything to a disc.
Whether it will be any use to you is another question.
A lot of Amazon games seem to use Steam codes.
So read the description carefully.

Yes, read the description carefully. I bought the LHOD trio from Steam and they are very invasive. Steam automatically opens at start up, unless you stop it and every time ya wanna play their games, gotta log into Steam. Thank God, I only paid $4.99 for the games. I recommend GOG.com for games.

You can stop Steam from loading at Startup in your Startup programs menu. Most games you can play without logging into Steam too. It's an option.

I too MUCH prefer GOG.

Hmmmm, when ever I tried to play LHOD, my Steam kept wanting me to log in? I uninstalled it all anyway.

You would have to play in off-line mode. That's what I usually do.

Steam is a great outlet for game developers if they make it there, but it is a PITA!
