Eyes of Ara Patch

Hi.

I received an email from Kickstarter today notifying me about Patch 1.0.03 for The Eyes of Ara - but it is for the Steam version.

Does anyone know if a patch is also available anywhere for the non - Steam versions ??

Isn't it on Humble?

Also included in this patch are a few minor bug fixes for things that have been discovered since launch. Steam users should find that their game updates automatically, while those of you playing the DRM-free version will need to download the latest version from Humble. The Mac App Store version has not been updated yet but will follow soon.

I did pay a quick visit to Humble, oldbroad, but I was just looking for a patch.
I'll go back later then and see if a "newer" download of the whole game is now available.

EDIT :

OK. I went back and this time looked at the game itself and found a button labelled "Update" so I clicked on it .... Which started a "spinning" icon.

Does that mean the downloadable game files are now the latest ones - and so include the new patch ??

I sure can't answer this. I'm not familiar enough with Humble. I just was going by what the email said but the patch doesn't sound like something you really need (to me).

There is no separate patch available at Humble.
At least I didn't see one.
But I don't know whether you can patch through the game itself.

I just logged into Humble and the only download for Eyes of Ara I found was for
the patched version of the full game --> TheEyesOfAra_1003_win.zip

TheEyesOfAra_1003_win.zip is 481.6 MB
slightly larger than the previous version, which was
TheEyesOfAra_1002_win.zip and was 476.8 MB


Did it ever finish spinning or give any indication of success?
If it did, I'd assume it's fine.

I went back and took another look - and yes, the icon spins and then stops so I will assume all is "patched" now and re-download the game

Hi Jenny,
I have the Steam version of this game. and sure enough, Steam automatically updated it. Now, besides the "fixes", I'm also getting the Halloween "stuff" on the game interface. I'm loving this game------ so far, anyway. I just finished the part that required a "disc" on the floor to complete the "MAP" puzzle.
