Printer asking for modem connection - 12/25/17 10:29 PM

We have had our Cannon printer for some time and use it frequently. However for some reason when I try to print anything now a message pops up saying I
need to be connected on a fax modem....I have tried several different places to try and print something and I am now always getting same message. I used out printer only a week or so ago and have no idea how to correct this issue. Can anyone give me any suggestions to try and get my printer up and working again. Thank you....I can't find our instruction booklet....also I checked the printer information and it is set correctly for a printer not a fax machine....

If it's asking for a fax modem, that sounds like it's not set up for LAN. Maybe it forgot its settings.

You should be able to find a manual for your printer online. Just Google for the model number and look for something on the Canon website.

Or just see if it's one of these
