A Tale of Two Kingdoms - 01/02/20 09:33 PM

Hi.

I received an email from itch.io about an update having been issued for this game - so I asked them was the update a patch or a replacement ??

And was told I would have to contact the developers to find out.

Does anyone here know ??

Cheers.

I looked around, including the developer's website and Steam, and could not find much information about this. It seems that the game was updated to a "Deluxe" edition two or three years ago, but that's all that I could find. wave

EDIT :

I've found the update (it was available via itch.io) and looked at the size of it - and from that have decided that it must be a whole game replacement !!
So I've downloaded it yes

Thanks, Marian smile

I couldn't find anything either, although I didn't look at Steam woozy

Now I'm wondering why I was even sent the email !!

I guess I'll just keep the version I've got.

(I haven't played it yet, anyway shame)

Hah !! Well that was easier said than done !!

Got the game installed but don't have all the necessary "in game" icons showing.

Not got the VITAL one that allows me to Save, Load or Quit duh

So I've contacted Crystal Shards for assistance ....

That sounds like the best thing to do, Mad.

I think it's the only thing I CAN do, Marian !! cry

In the meantime I might try the "Det. DI Silk" game and hope I have better luck laugh

Whilst waiting (hopefully) for a reply, I have uninstalled the "updated" version and installed the "original" version that I burned to disk when I bought it and which DOES have the full compliment of controls.

So I will try playing that version - with fingers crossed that I don't encounter any game-stopping glitches yes

No reply from Crystal Shards so far - not even an acknowledgement of my query duh

Well that's disappointing, and that doesn't sound like them (at least, they seemed to be quite responsive on Steam in the past). On their website, I do notice that it says that you can contact them through their game forums.

Contact via the forums was the first thing I tried, Marian, but my log-in details weren't accepted - even though I've never changed them since I first registered - so I resorted to using the email contact provided.
But have never had a reply frown
