Re: Squiggle - 01/30/13 06:14 PM

[The door of the underground dungeon where the moderators are kept creaks opens slowly and Urban Worrier tiptoes out. He looks around furtively for Pandora, and not seeing her, he speaks:]

Keep 'em coming, folks - four days to go! grin

[His message delivered, he scoots back into the dungeon, slamming the door behind him. There is the sound of locks being locked and bolts being thrown. A sigh of relief is heard...]

Mr. Ecclethorpe, 93, at the moment of unintentionally stepping off the beaten path and careening headlong down the snowy slope, was thankful that he had remembered to bring along Frida, his trusty walking stick, as ballast.

Seeing no other chance for escape, the disgraced Urban Warrior hits the slopes in the high mountains, hoping to escape Pandora's infamous wrath.

Re: Squiggle - 02/01/13 02:05 AM

"Uh-oh," thought the ex-yachter turned skiier on his first downhill run. "If it's red right returning, I'm up the snowy creek without a skipole."

Moments before reaching the cliff, Alvin thought, "hmm, I wonder why all the other skiers are on that course over there?"

Re: Squiggle - 02/03/13 06:32 PM

OK - it's Sunday evening over here, so it's judgment time.

Lots of great entries (some libellous - you will be hearinfg from my lawyers lol) and a tough choice. An honorable mention must go to Doc Paul for his "feng shui" one-liner, but the winner (purely for the fact that it's such a totally surreal idea) is Niki with:

"his wife sent him out to get her washing in and she is timing him"

Congrats, Niki! bravo
