Agony In The Garden

Agony In The Garden - 04/08/13 01:59 PM

With nearly summer-like conditions this weekend, I decided to go out and see what I could do about the wild roses and blackberry brambles that are slowly choking out my yard. It's amazing how well they mesh together making it almost impossible to pull them apart. At the end of it all I looked like I was attacked by a pack of wild cats. lol

Starting with the word THORNS change one letter and anagram for the answers to these clues.

-1. onslaught

-4. some are yellow but Kato's is green
-5. "Get ------" 1995

Jema, could you explain how you got the answer to #10? What is the Urban Worrier referring to? Thanks!

Edit: Or is this an illegal question? Not sure of the rules on these puzzles. oops

That's the one, Jema wave

lanlynk, "Intros" in the title name of a puzzle that "Urban Worrier", one of the forum administrators, posts from time to time. The puzzle has to do with song intros that you have to identify. Nice puzzle!

Thank you, Cue! No wonder I couldn't figure out what the clue Urban Worrier was! I haven't seen the admin's name yet. I was coming up with all kinds of weird answers. None, of course, made sense:

Hamlet (the small town and prince) whose puzzle is "to be or not to be"

City Slickers (a movie) whose main character puzzles over "the one thing"

The Thinker (a sculpture) and who knows what his boggle is

rolleyes lol

That was really quite the poser for you then! lol

City Slickers is one of my favorite movies. I love Billy Crystal's antics in the show as he struggles with "the one thing".

Yes, great movie, Cue.

The problem with all my "bright" ideas was that no anagram solution matched the crazy clues I came up with! I mean, how do I go from thorns to "the one thing"? headscratch troths? lol
