In Other Words

In Other Words - 05/27/13 09:11 PM

The five clue words are derived from an answer word that’s made up of at least eight letters, none of which is repeated. The letters of each clue word appear in the answer word in left-to-right order, though, not necessarily consecutively. For example: the letters in Colt can be found in Complexity, as can the letters in Comply, Exit, Met and Pity. Every letter of the answer appears at least once in the clue words, and one clue word in each set appears in the answer intact (Exit in the example).

As has become traditional, win bonus points and the admiration of your peers for using all five clues and the answer in a suitable sentence.

-1. rut, gal, fit, ray, fry
-2. the, oral, item, sea, era
-3. bot, sin, bow, rig, own
-4. cut, auto, pin, eat, rec
-5. cent, ache, met, arc, pen
-6. tea, say, until, tad, nail
-7. day, icy, dip, lay, dom
-8. moat, nit, mar, his, chit
-9. lid, mug, tie, mire, rad
-10. son, met, shin, omen, sing

I have to ask, is anyone else seeing 2 underlined words, answer and bonus? When you put your cursor on them, ads pop up. Is anyone else getting this or is just me?

Re: In Other Words - 05/27/13 11:20 PM

OK, thanks. Yes it is in every thread actually. It's has to be something that has been added to Internet Explorer because I don't have it on Google Chrome. I'll see if I can find it because it pops up on every page I go to, not only here.

I found it and deleted it. They also had it installed twice, second time the name was scrambled to look like something you wouldn't want to delete, just in case. However, being a gameboomer, I figured it out and deleted it.

Problem solved.
