3. Not sure if height would apply here but my guess would be that they had to fit through the Panama canal. That would limit the length, width and draft, maybe the height too.

You've got half of it, Bob - the ships had to fit through the Panama Canal. So, what about the height?

Yes! It's been renamed Qeqertarsuup but is still widely referred to by its old name.

Being born and raised in Brooklyn, the bridge is a favorite of mine. I've walked over it many a time. It's beautiful.
