Facts you didn't know:
It isn't killing any old turkeys that causes winter, its killing two very particular turkeys, so to ensure that it doesn't come early, appropriate security measures are always in place.
These are in fact decoy turkeys, one of several pairs in various locations across the country and elsewhere
The greatest threat is from Australians, as winter in the north triggers summer in the south, and it can't come soon enough down under (beer, beach, more beer, surf, bbq, beer etc)
The last squiggle was actually turkey aerial surveillance, but we weren't allowed to tell
The real winter turkeys are, in a cunning double-blind that no one would suspect, safely ensconced in Istanbul, but don't tell
