Survey Says!

Survey Says! - 12/06/16 01:51 PM

A radio station was having a contest to win hockey tickets on my way to work this morning. The contest was to "Name the top reason for little arguments in a household". Let's see if we can find all 10 of them. Please give one answer at a time but feel free to try again once I've replied.

Good luck.

1. leaving lights on all the time, wasting electricity
2. leaving the TV on
3. not turning the lights off when you leave the house
4. leaving windows open when you leave the house
5. leaving the doors open when leaving the house
6. leaving the doors unlocked
7. leaving lights on when you go to bed
8. thermostat setting
9. leaving electrical devices on
10. not waking up to your alarm

Toilet seat arguments, up or down!!

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 02:42 PM

Not putting the toilet seat down?

That was timing.

I'll think of another one.

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 02:43 PM

I would have thought that the toilet seat would have made the list but...no.

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 04:01 PM

The dishwasher issue and tidiness would certainly be on my list but not on this one! Go figure.

Thermostat setting is #8 on the list. thumbsup12 Some of us run hot, some run cold.

Toilet paper roll top or bottom delivery.

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 04:38 PM

I see you're on a toilet trend, Remi :) That is an irritant for some but quite frankly I'm totally thrilled to have the stuff available in any fashion of delivery in the heat of the moment. Actually, I'm happy when the cats don't have it completely unrolled! Sorry...not on this list.

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 05:19 PM

I wondered when the in-laws would show up. All of the people surveyed live in complete harmony with their relationships by marriage. Hmmmm....good for them!

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 06:23 PM

The TV is on the list but not because someone wants to watch My Little Pony and someone else want to watch monster trucks. grin12

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 07:15 PM

"Skipping through TV stations": No arguments should happen - they should be slapped!
"Who's hogging the WiFi": Probably those gosh darn Call of Duty players..they're too busy to argue.
"The last piece of pizza": I take care of this at home by instantly grabbing the last piece just to make sure no arguing ensues.
"Hogging the TV remote": Another great answer but not on the list.

I like the Gameboomer list better lol12

Several of the answers are "power" struggles.

Re: Survey Says! - 12/06/16 08:57 PM

"disciplining the children": Wait until your father gets home!

"backseat driving": I was teaching my youngest to drive with her mother in the back seat. She yelled at our daughter for not seeing someone approaching the intersection which scared the young'n so much that she ran straight into a cement highway divider.

"taking turns in the bathroom": A man can't read the daily rag without being told to quit or get off the pot.

"who handles the money / pays bills": No argument in our home...pay this!

"The wife makes dinner and the husband is supposed to clean up the dishes but often doesn't do": An excellent arrangement that works extremely well. All men should be happy to accommodate.

We all have issues, don't we lol12
