So what is the secret apart from trying to find one word with a recognisable profile to get you started? crazy

Re: Cryptogram Challengers - 03/03/17 08:29 PM

Amazing solve, Redz! bravo

Lex, these are challenger cryptograms, but in regular ones, it can help to try E in place of the letter that appears the most often because E is the most commonly used letter in the language.

Even more helpful in today's world is a computer program that does the substitutions for you. It doesn't recommend letters or do any solving, it just makes the process faster and easier. Here's one that I like: http://scottbryce.com/cryptograms/ smile

Re: Cryptogram Challengers - 03/04/17 02:24 PM

Redz, do you have any solving tips to share? smile

Re: Cryptogram Challengers - 03/04/17 05:25 PM

Not really on these. They were definitely challenging. Trial and error
mostly. Double letters help...not all letters can be doubled. Common
two and three letter words, again trial and error alot. lol
And using a pencil with a "great" eraser is a must. crazy
