The kids didn't like my version of a gingerbread house

Back to basics. The original Gingerbread House.

Jillian was so excited to finally head for home after a long day at work following the phone call from her husband where he proudly exclaimed he had made a Gingerbread House for the family this Christmas. And to think she doubted he had any ability in the kitchen...

Matt thought Jillian would think his gingerbread house would be funny and was speechless after Jillian came bursting into the kitchen and then just erupted into tears and broke down crying after looking at his house...

When my daughter texted me a request for a "gingerbreadhouse", I couldn't pass up the opportunity to demonstrate why punctuation in texts is so important.

You've heard of Elf on the Shelf? This is Gingerbread Man on the counter.

Mom: "Suzie, what is that you just built?"

Suzie: "Mom, little Ginger was bad, very bad. I sent her to the root cellar."

At the Grinch family's house, a famous holiday tradition has slightly different results. You should see their fruitcake! (Don't taste their eggnog either.)

Everyone have a wonderful Christmas. All the entries were great this week, despite that there were fewer because of the holidays. After long deliberation, I thought that Zookeeper's entry was the best. So congratulations to Zookeeper!
