You do not need to play online but can enjoy
this game offline and by yourself.

The first thing I noticed about this game is
how much it reminded me of Neverwinter Nights.

The look, music and graphics were similar.

As in Neverwinter Nights each area is small
and you explore one area at a time.

You will meet people along the way that may
join your party and help you to fight.

You can build your party up and have up to
7 people and a packmule helping you which is pretty good when you have a lot of monsters to kill in some areas.

You can also buy a Packmule to help you carry
stuff you find which I thought was really good.

I was worried that the packmule would get in
the way or go ahead into battle but I was wrong
about this because it would just move back out of
harms way.

You can pick different formations for the people
to fight as in other games.

The fighting is easy and all you do is click on the enemy because the game is mouse driven only.

You may pause by pressing the space bar and heal them or tell them what to do next.

As in other games, you can find lots of stuff by killing your enemy or breaking barrels or crates and then selling it in a shop.

You have a map in the game to help you along the way but you can't mark anything on it to help you remember what was there. Oh well.

If you leave anything on the ground you do see what it is because everything has a label which tells you what it is when you place the cursor over it.

The stuff even shows up on the map so you can always pick it up later if you don't have room to get it now.

I really enjoyed play the game and will play it over and over again smile

Thanks so much for taking the time to write RPG and action reviews! I think it's a very pretty game, decidedly lacking in story, but fun to play if you want a hack and slash session to get out all the frustrations of the day. It's exceptionally easy to learn to play, and I loved the character skills options that are so open to one's own style of play.
Interesting that you would think it like NWN, as I didn't find a similarity myself. To me, NWN was repetitive and drab, with a much more complicated interface. I understand it really shines as a multiplayer though, and that's something I didn't do.

In multi-player, does everybody get to bring a packmule? I am envisioning a dark, creepy dungeon with 20 players and 5 pack mules. devil It would be hard to tell yours from the next guy's, wouldn't it?. Although I suppose the game might let you customize your pack mule, so as to be able to distinguish it.

One of these days I'll have to play an RPG just to have a somewhat foggy grasp of what goes on in one.
