This has to be one of the most unique release trailers yet. The game releases tomorrow. View the release trailer Here. You can view the gameplay video here. Check out teaser trailer here.See the screenshots here. Instead of a release trailer, we opted for something different: a release musical. Don't fear it, embrace it! • Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TIa042jr_k• Feel free to sing along with the music sheet and lyrics here: http://ow.ly/JjowpLyrics in plain text: DRM Free, no micro-purchasing No always online, no pay to win before the days of Free To Play we chose the way that we keep travelling. When shadows fall, upon our land When trolls are trolling, we make a stand Join our adventure – [Nate only:] boost our sales! The Book of Unwritten Tales....... 2 Legend foretold it. Prophecies predicted it. Chosen ones chose to believe in it. Now the adventure saga continues. A sequel is coming. Join Wilbur, Ivo, Nate and Critter in another classic point-and-click adventure in the wicked world of Aventásia. Help them fulfill their destiny. A destiny as yet unwritten. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 will be available through digital distributors including Steam and GOG.com, along with the physical Almanac Edition, which includes a 104-page hardback artbook, making-of DVD, the orchestral soundtrack on CD, a double-sided poster, and the exclusive in-game content, “Color Your Critter.” Ten Fun facts on BOUT 2: 10 Fun facts about BoUT2 and its development 1. Middle Mouse Button to open/close the Inventory: Thanks to the Early Access community, we implemented this seemingly unimpressive feature and we absolutely love it. It is very efficient (which us Germans are very fond of), because you save at least a couple of hundred clicks with it and significantly reduce the on-screen distance covered with your computer mouse. 2. An average BoUT2 scenery has the size of approximately 100 MB… more than all LucasArts Adventures from 1986-1993 (including Monkey Island 1 and 2) combined. 3. Our build server cooked 3667 builds. 4824 pesky bugs have been removed, and during the Early Access phase, 12 updates have been made. 4. In BoUT2, more than 30 hours of top-notch voice acting in German and English have been recorded. 5. Did you know that Doug Cockle, the voice actor of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2’s clumsy adventurer Nate Bonnet, also lends his voice to Geralt of Rivia, striking terror (and blades for that matter) into monsters’ hearts in No Man’s Land in The Witcher® 3: Wild Hunt? 6. Saving BoUT2 on 3,5”-discs would take ~3125 floppy discs. Stacking all the discs on top of each other, one would be stacking discs for quite a while. 7. Critter (although he cannot speak in a traditional sense) has more than 140 unique expressions/sounds. Takalak!! (This is Critter for “excellent”). 8. This game also has a publisher, and they are people (with feelings), too. 9. During the development of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 two children were conceived and born, and another (roughly) 11.342 attempts were made, paired, or single-handedly. 10. During the development of BoUT2, Panama’s gross domestic product increased by 9.2 billion Dollars, 4.757.733.840 hectolitres of rain poured down in the city of Bremen, and 26 Nobel Prizes have been awarded. Pure coincidence?
Happy Gaming! Ana

Well I've finished. Final chapter was a bit short; and soooooo many unanswered questions. There has to be at least another game here. There are so many loose ends there just has to be more to come...I hope. Absolutely loved this game despite its bugs and that has to be the coolest trailer ever. PS Mouse wheel inventory access doesn't work.

Thanks, Ana! That is a fantastic trailer. I got my GOG Almanac copy yesterday, with all kinds of extras. I requested GOG for my Kickstarter copy and received my key yesterday, but I had to wait until today to really get into it. Looking forward to playing. Also looking forward to my boxed copy, as they look fantastic. @lynthorpe, sorry to hear about the loose ends. Maybe that means we will in fact get another game, which would be great.

@lynthorpe, sorry to hear about the loose ends. Maybe that means we will in fact get another game, which would be great. [/quote] For anyone who lives in the UK, it's like an Eastenders cliffhanger doof doof moment! There are so many threads of the story which could, and should, lead to at least one more game. I'm kinda hoping it's like Game of Thrones...we need to know Nate's story and the baby's. And what of Liz and Wilber? To mention but a few. I'm being optimistic that Nordic/Kingart will come up with more games in this series. For me it ranks up there with the best.

Well, it can't possibly be as bad as Dreamfall's cliffhanger, can it? Or maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. Still, any cliffhanger is bad enough. I'm still waiting for the resolution to A Vampyre Story, which looks unlikely, and Alter Ego, which looks even less likely (or, if you like, impossible ). I started chapter 5 yesterday, but I was also catching up on some other games I was behind on, so I will have to play some more today. It is definitely a great game. I think I like it even more than the first one. Hopefully, there will be another game in the series. Their Kickstarter did well, which is a good sign of player interest.

I got my GOG Almanac copy yesterday, with all kinds of extras. Since you have the "Almanac" version, can you explain how the "extended" manual that comes with the "Almanac" version differs from whatever manual they give you with the regular version?

Unfortunately, I'm not really sure, as I only received the one manual. I would guess perhaps the character bios that were included might be extra information. There is also the "color your critter" info, which appears to be something only included with the Almanac version. It allows the player to change the color of the Critter - he can be red, green, blue, etc. by choosing a "Hair Dye" icon in the inventory. Only the Almanac version has this option. In the regular game, it is not possible to change Critter's color. There is also the description of what happens in the original game, but I assume that would be in both manuals. Finally, there is a "Game of Tropes" comic at the end, which may or may not be Almanac specific. Hope this helps.
