Anybody else having any trouble getting Machinarium to run? Although my computer has all the requirements, I cannot get the game to run. Purchased it from United Kingdom in box, Collector's Edition. Very disappointed, as played the demo and enjoyed that very much. Irishem

When you say run, do you mean you were able to install it and it won't play?

If you are unable to install it, Machinarium has posted some info on an error on the boxed editions here. It seems the installation file is missing.

There is a thread about it with more info here in the Glitches forum. Machinarium Thread

No, it wouldn't install. Thank you so much for the information. I should be able to get my money back as bought it from a reputable Ebay seller. I wonder would the downloaded game be ok?

Thanks! Irishem

I'm sure it would be. I have the downloaded game and it is fine. There was just some kind of goof-up when burning the DVDs such as you have.

I had the same problem and someone pointed me to a machinarium site that told me that there was a problem with the latest batch and they were not produced for pc's only apple, (manufacturers's fault) I was able to return the disc and got a refund I got mine from play.com. I don't remember the site name but if you do a search for Machinarium in the last month with my name you will be led to a site and you will have proof if your seller is being difficult. In the meantime I am waiting for a new batch that is OK for pcs.

I have bought this same game from Dave, Collectors Edition. I just tried to install it and autorun did not do anything. I double clicked it in my E drive and there is an icon that says Install Machinarium but when I double clicked on that it just hung up my computer (said "not responding", and even though I tried to End Task it wouldn't end so I had to just restart my computer.

Does this sound like a bad disc or just my computer?

See oldlady's thread about the resolution for her issue with Machinarium at the top of this page.

So you think it is a bad disc and that I should email Mamba, not Dave? How and where do I find that email address please?

Edit: I think I found it. I emailed somebody anyway!

Thanks.
