I'm Dan Markosian the developer of Slip Space: The Burma-Shave Analogy.
You can find basic info on the game at the website slipspacegame.tripod.com
I'm also submitting Developer-Journal articles on JustAdventure
The first entry was posted about 2 weeks ago. I was excited when gameboomers member colpet started a thread in response to that posting. It's good to see competing adventure sites playing well together.
When I registered for this forum, I recognized the source of some of the avatar pictures. Several years ago my wife picked up a collection of Broderbund Click Art at a yard sale. I've used many of those images in the photoshop composites I've created to jazz up my interiors and the animated cut scenes.
Hopefully you'll check out the sources mentioned above to get a feel for the story idea and such. However, let me offer you gameboomers a tidbit you won't find in those references:
My aim for the players of this game is to provide a level of immersion that borders on paranoia. This occurs because the story is told through a series of hallucinations the player experiences due to a brain implant.
Don't worry, the hallucinations are harmless and a bit campy so you should come through it with your mental health intact.

Thank you Dan

I have been looking for "Something Different" in an adventure game for quite a while and your game just may be the answer.
With little to go on, first impression is, a cross between, Mysterious Journey - Rhem & Drowned God. Am I close?

Any guess as to when it might be finished and will this be a hard disk release or download?
Thanks

Thanks to all of you for the nice bit of encouragement.
GreyFuss, puzzle-wise my game is in the style of Rhem and Mysterious Journey. I believe I'll have it done around July or August. It's large, so far is 3.5GB so I'll release it on DVD pending publishing arrangements.

I admit it I'm shamelessly tooting my own horn but Randy Sluganski at Just Adventure has posted a flattering preview of my game. Check it out.

Dan

I enjoy reading Randy's articles as he always tells it like it is with no holds barred. I echo the thoughts of Becky and Colpet and have become dehydrated due to the drooling over the screenshots. So if you could help GreyFuss out and save him a trip to the Hospital, please hurry as I neeeeed your game.....slurp....I need a drink grin

Hey Becky, Colpet and GreyFuss,
I'm enjoying checking out this forum (and not just this thread). I've read your posts and I feel like I'm getting a much better idea on the game features that my target players will appreciate. I'm working hard on the game and will get it out asap. In the meantime, drink something.

PS Becky I see you're a Wicked fan. It's coming to Salt Lake next month and I have tickets. Maybe I'll learn how to be pop-U-A-lur

Is this a wander around by yourself, no one to talk to, type of game? I don't care for those.

I'm getting very close to finishing my game. All the puzzle environments are done and I'm working on cutscenes. Carla has added some screenshots to this site. (Thanks Carla)
The game has also been recently featured on Just Adventure and Adventure Gamers .
I'm still working on getting a publisher. It might help if those of you who are interested in this type of game were to talk it up a bit on the various forums. Nevertheless, I really appreciate the encouragement I've received so far.
