Thanks to help from some folks on the hints forum, I got past a spot where I was stuck, and am now almost done with BS4! Good game, just don't like the annoying computer hack puzzles.
So, next I'll either go with BS5, or take a break from George and Nico and try something else first. I've been out of the loop for a while, so if anyone has any recommendations for some recent games released in the last year or so, I'm all ears. (I prefer character / story based games)
I noticed one called Life is Strange, looks interesting, but only 1 of 5 episodes has been released. I've also never played on the Steam platform, which I assume will run on my PC.
Thanks in advance. Louis

Hi Louis, both of those games are great. Broken Sword 5 has gameplay more along the lines of 1 and 2. It has beautiful graphics, a great storyline, good puzzles, and it's just a lot of fun to play. I do think it's very convenient that George and Nico just happen to run into so many familiar faces when they travel the world, but then again, that's part of the charm of these games. The fifth game is my second favorite in the series after the first. Life is Strange is fantastic so far, especially if you like story driven exploration games. The main character discovers she has the power to rewind time, which is both an interesting premise and a fun game mechanic. There are a lot of optional things to explore and optional character interactions which add to the world the main character, Max, inhabits. It reminds me somewhat of Dreamfall Chapters in that respect, which is another game I recommend if you like The Longest Journey series. Episode 1 of that game is already out, and episode 2 should be out next Tuesday. There are optional dialogues you can have in that game that I think a lot of players miss, and a lot of exploration, especially in Europolis. That area is huge. Both of these games are my current favorite releases. If you liked The Book of Unwritten Tales, I highly recommend its sequel. Great characters, a nice long gaming experience, and it's incredibly funny and fun. If you haven't played the original and like the look of its style, I highly recommend starting with the first game, then the Critter Chronicles and finally The Book of Unwritten Tales 2.

Just finished Broken Sword 4, very enjoyable game , great story and puzzles.
So, now I'm debating between the Raven, or BS5. I've never played a game via Steam, what's that like? Do I have to join Steam first? I already have the Steam app (Icon) which came with my computer, but I've never done anything with it.
Thanks!

I like Steam, in fact I prefer it. You will need to register and then you are good to go.

Does using Steam mean that none of your games are DRM free? That's what I've heard. I usually go to GOG.

There are steam DRM free games, but most use the Steam client. I've never had any issues with it and love all the Steam features. Then again I use steam to interact with close friends and many other things as well.
